We like him because he hires a lot of good assistants for us (and young quarterbacks)

Why does anyone love Kiffin so much? Just for the record I've been hammering this point since he was hired from FAU.

At the P5 level he's has 2 good season out of 8 at this level, a total of one at each at USC and Ole Miss. He's had 2 more out of 3 at FAU with a stinker in the middle.

Ole Miss fans ASSURED me that he would win 10 games in back to back seasons this year after the LSU loss and A&M win. First time in forever, that was the whole talking point. I was downvoted to hell and back and called an idiot for questioning if that was really going to happen. When the dust settled he didn't even win 9. That twitter spat he had with that reporter was sure hilarious right? At least you guys have that dog Juice.

Face it, the dude is a child in an adult body that everyone expected to be a great HC because he was on staff under Carroll at USC and Saban at Bama and the son of Monte, but as HC especially at the P5 level he's nothing special. He never has been and never will be. We've seen enough of a sample size throughout multiple jobs.

Enjoy him Reb fans. At least he won't have you guys in the cellar so you got that going for you.

Well he seems to look elsewhere at other job openings when they come up - so maybe that plays into the fans being appreciative that he is still there…

The real question is, why does every fanbase except for Tennessee love him and want him as their coach?

LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Auburn, Miami, Nebraska, etc

Nope, but as coordinator absolutely.

Through three full seasons, he's also had a lower winning % than Houston Nutt (.647) did in his first 3 seasons, and that includes a 4-8 season for Nutt.

Nope Nutt had .578, and he completely wasted all the talent Orgeron had recruited. If we overpaid for Kiffin that is fine by me. Better in the end to overpay a little bit than have a loser like Matt Luke torpedo your program. You make more money with the overpaid but successful coach and that is really going to be true with the new t.v. contract.

In short, because he’ll have them. Same reason every fan base closes one eye and blindly defends the glaring flaws of their own coach.

That red river thing was ugly. It wasn't just watching the Sooners lose games, it was the manner that they did it. No one can feel good about that.

No doubt it was difficult, but shite like that happens when you are down to starting TE playing wildcat because you are down to your 4th string QB who wasn't even at the school the year prior. Turnovers and bang.

What a ridiculous metric. Jimbo has 5 such wins in 5 seasons, and what does he have to show for it?

BTW, Lane's Rebs beat y'all in 2021 when y'all were 4-2 in the conference and #11 in the nation. Not our fault y'all couldn't beat a hapless LSU team who had already fired its coach.

Wake up and look at his bowl victory over Indiana who was 6-1 in the Big10 in '21. Is that a winning conference record?

No, frick his stupid metric. It is meaningless. Jimbo has done it 5 times and has a big ol' bowl of nothing to show for it.

I crack up thinking we are supposed to be worried about Bianco. Let’s see if it takes him another 20 years! Lol. Beard won’t be there long and Kiffin is so fricking overrated it ain’t even funny.

Indiana lost their star quarterback at the end of the regular season.

Why do they love Kiffin?

For the same reasons we loved Will Wade.

Even if he’s an arrogant arse, by god he is(was) our arrogant arse.

People will rally to that.

I believe there was a biblical quote to the extent of wishing we be cold or hot, for lukewarm would be spat out. I think it applies appropriately to this.
