To be honest, I only see the fervor on tRant and even then, that's still mostly subjective. Still, LF7 is a special player. If I was an LSU fan, there's no question I would be doing the same.

On another note, why start this thread except to stir the pot?

Haven't you heard? They've moved on and now Guice is going to be the greatest of all time. They'll be defending him when he has 35 yards against Bama next year

Same way u defended every player that has got in trouble for Bama

The sheltering of Fournette doesn't come close to the gump insecurity over McCarron. That will never be rivaled.

I think this is not true...and - even if so - these 2 players' CFB accomplishments are considerably different.

Which Bama player has been attacked like LF7 on this board? I will wait. Yall have become borderline obsessive over him

Apparently McCarron, Ingram, and DH2.

The difference was AJ was never given "once in a generation player" title. Bama fans defended him from the morons calling him average or less.

The man won 2 rings and a NFL playoff game and yet you are still calling the Hiesman a joke because he was a finalist?

100% AJ McCarron should have never been given Heisman consideration. He could win 3 NFL playoff games and it wouldn't change that.

Not even close. Bama fans are starting 5+ threads a day regarding LF7, mocking his injury, etc etc

Or...is it because they have spent the last 3 years (4 counting his recruitment) pumping him up to be the greatest thing since cochon de lait and they refuse to admit he didn't live up to their expectations?

This is the answer. It's a psychological phenomenon with LSU fans. Stubborn and hot headed runs in the bloodlines. These people are not the kind who admit weakness or that they were wrong easily.

At no point during his career was AJ McCarron even the third best player on the Alabama offense. Alabama's accomplishments happened in spite of AJ, not because of him. How is this difficult to understand? Why was AJ McCarron invited to the Heisman ceremony? It was a career "achievement" award for the circle jerking gumps in the media that wanted to give him a pat on the back. A total embarrassment.

Which Bama player (or former) gets defended as much as LF7?

Mark Ingram. Well, that was easier than you made it out to be.

I was more embarrassed over his crying after the win over LSU than being in attendance for the Heisman ceremony.

I still don't get this unless the intent is to again, stir the pot.

McCarron's crying > Tebow's crying.

Sorry, just had to throw that in.

They are embarrassing for different reasons, but both were total embarrassments.
