To "kick it right" for someone who is not a kicker opens up for stronger possibility of injury. Straight toe is relatively harmless. Soccer style could cause toe or ankle injuries, or worse knee problem if your foot catches the ground wrong.

Was it dumb? Yes.

Is the faux outrage over it on display here dumb? Yes.

big 12-ish and embarrassing

probably cost him some votes

wanna be cute, do it vs a real team, not a bunch of scrubs

rather pitiful and childish, expected from the Ags though

hated it. would have hated it due to what it stood for even if he made it.

might make him not be so angry with Bertolet on misses from here on out though.

This is what I don't get. Manziel didn't play in the big12. None of the coaching staff came from the big12. Nothing about what A&M is doing this year has anything to do with that conference.

I don't care at all.

SHSU was playing like punk arse thugs with tons of cheap shots so too bad so sad IMO.

I think the SECr moral majority should write Coach Sumlin a letter describing their collective outrage for this indiscretion..

He has no chance at the heisman now, voters will look bad on that. Manziel can blame Sumlin too for that bush-league move.

It was a fun little stunt, no big deal. Sumlin addressed it saying they practice it this week to keep things interesting and he decided to let Johnny do it since he was making them in practice.

He COULD have gone all thug bush league and let Johnny stay in and pad his Heisman stats but he didn't.

seriously?

Are you seriously debating there was another reason? The entire country knows that was exactly the reason the second he attempted it. I could really care less but I expected him to at least be able to kick. That miss is what made it bush more than anything. It doesn't take an athlete to kick a 20 yard fg and the fact that he obviously has no experience kicking, it is ridiculous to even do it.

it was douchy brah

period

again do it vs SOMEONE, not a FCS school, embarrassing

FWIW say Les Miles ran a fake vs McNeese or some shite

I'd be pissed cause he's showing up a team that can't really compete with LSU

but that is a point too. While the SEC will rip each other to shreds, we defend the GAME as well

something the Ags haven't learned yet, still new around these parts
