Classless, attention whorish move IMO

We kinda did the same thing when we had Cam catch a TD pass.

It was almost as bad as LSU mercy kneeing OM with 5 mins left in the game! Even LSU fans thought that was brutal.

Apples and oranges.

Miles was ATTEMPTING to be nice (albeit he made it worse), TAMU was purposely trying to be douchey.

Any vestige of confidence Bertolet had is most likely gone now.

That was assuming he had any, sadly JFF gives us about the same chance on a extra point.

i just found it funny. for someone with all that talent especially to not know how to kick. make or not, at least kick it with the right part of your foot.

How is that even close to the same thing? The game was in the first quarter and it was a trick play that put us on the board.

That it may have been, especially after the 2 cheap shots on Manziel earlier in the game.. the ones that they got 2 personal fouls for.

But I really think Sumlin was just having fun in a completely meaningless game. If he wanted to actually give it to them, he would have left JFF and the 1st string offense and defense in the entire game instead of letting SHS get some practice time in.

The 40-0 was showing up your inferior opponent (the same opponent taking cheap shots at the QB earlier in the game, those ended after Christine Michael threw a punch at them and got himself ejected in the process).

The kick? Just having fun. And the fake outrage over it, gimme a break.

All of this.

Lotta butt hurt in this thread.

I think the Miles knee had a lot to do with him being pissed at mettenberger for running a bootleg.

Lots of people judging by the activity in this thread.

The consensus is most other SEC fans think the move is bush league and worth discussing

typical comment from someone who doesn't know what they are talking about. To "kick it right" for someone who is not a kicker opens up for stronger possibility of injury. Straight toe is relatively harmless. Soccer style could cause toe or ankle injuries, or worse knee problem if your foot catches the ground wrong.

Guess I didn't really view it as a trick play but more of a cam show-off moment. I had also forgotten that it was in the 1st quarter.

nah man we were down 7-0 and that drive tied the game up. Perfect pass from Kodi Burns and Newton was just taller than everyone.

I'm shocked none of you Aggies will admit this was bush league. No one is fricking "jealous" of JFF. Most of us agree he should even win this Heisman. This was beyond the pale however. One of you guys need to admit this.

Was it over the top? Sure, but it wasn't a big deal. Johnny had just come out on the first play of the 2nd half and threw an 89 yard TD and was done for the day so Sumlin let him do it. As a back story Johnny has been kicking them in practice for fun. It apparently started after Johnny was visibly frustrated after Bertolet missed a few XP's and they talked about it. Apparently Bertolet held for him in practice so it was just having fun. You have to also remember A&M has now played 11 consecutive weeks and has no byes this year, Sumlin is trying to keep these guys up and loose.

Was it classless to Sam? Maybe, but they also had several cheap shots on A&M and Manziel so I don't really care. It was still a PPV game that no one was watching and he still pulled Johnny one play into the 2nd half (along with all the starters). Sam did get 2 onside kicks afterwards (A&M was up 40-0 then and got to 47-0) when A&M literally had walk ons and 3rd stringers out there to try to make the game look better (Final score was 47-28). Some folks actually criticized Johnny's game even though he essentially played a half and had over 100 yards rushing and 250 passing.

Haters gonna hate.
