Why did LSU fans want to fire Miles?

by JCinBAMA

Because they are like the girl who puts out on the first date and falls in love. The guy moves on and marries the love of his life. The girl can never get over it and stalks the guy the rest of his life, never being able to be satisfy by another guy.

Yes, I'm sure that's it...

Since there was bama in your name, I'm sure this is one in a never-ending "look-at-me, flatter me, it's all about me" Ala-shame-a self-indulgent all about bama fantasies.
So the guy 'moving on' is supposed to be saban?
The "love of his life" is supposed to bama?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Yes, I suppose playing Saban 10 times, more head-to head than ANY other CFB coach, is supposed to be 'stalking.' ???? And 7 of those 10 came down to the final seconds. Miles should be 5-5 against him at worst. We handed you 2 games.

BTW, nobody 'hates' Saban, they hate the bizarre set of untimely circumstances that allowed him to quit Miami in the middle of the season, tell Bama no repeatedly and inform the media of same, and finally, with no other job in sight, accept your job.

Such a ridiculous fantasy y'all SkoalDrool things have..........

No it's not Bama. It's actually ole miss and Arkansas... Lsu has vastly out recruited Arkansas and has a much better team. No excuse losing to them

I find this is the most talked about reason among most fans. We understand Bama is always a great team and a tough win, it's losing to Arky, Ole Miss and any other also ran each year that has most upset with Miles' results each year. The talent that LSU brings in each year, should amount to better showings late in the year. You have to give Les the credit for recruiting though.

How many games have LSU lost in the last 5 years after playing Alabama and how many before?...surprised?

2012 - 1 (1 loss pre-Bama)
2013 - 0
2014 - 2 (2 losses pre-Bama)
2015 - 2 (0 losses pre-Bama)

So 1 year out of the last 4 where most of our losses are post-Bama. Which backs up his point. Getting our asses kicked by Arkansas at home is what turned the heat up on Les.

But what is his record? 3-7, right? 2-7 in the last 9.

Which games? Bama made no plays to take advantage of the "handing" LSU did? We could make the same claims about "handing" LSU games.

First game in 2011 Bama missed 4 FGs, threw an INT on a pass by a WR when already in FG range, and had a QB throw an INT that LSU returned to the 15 setting up one of your FGs.

In 2010, Bama was down 21-14 with the ball with about 7 minutes to go in the game when McElroy fumbled. LSU went 6 yards and kicked a FG to go up 24-14. Bama later scored a TD to make it 24-21. Wouldn't tied game if not for McElroy "handing" it to you on the fumble.

In 2007, in a tie game JPW fumbled the ball for a loss of 29 yards to the 3 yard line with less than 2 minutes to go. LSU needed 3 yards for a game clinching TD and a 41-34 victory.

Both teams could make these "handed you the game" claims. At some point you've got to give the other team credit. Reid made the huge INT in 2011. Someone from LSU made the strip-sack in 2010 and 2007 that led to final margin of victory. Players make plays. Fans make excuses.

Wrong answer...after the latest Old Piss loss, the majority wanted him gone

"Wanted him gone" probably isn't the right phrase. "Wouldn't object to him being fired" is probably more accurate.

After Ole Miss, I was just tired, and really could not mount a defense for him anymore. Still wanted him at LSU but really could not make a convincing case for him, so I acquiesced to the other side. I think numerous other fans felt the same way. I think that is a lot different for the ones that had their pitchforks out for years now.

A small minority of idiots, dullards and cretins that know nothing about football unless they see it on madden wanted Miles fired. All of their nuts along with Allevas now hang from Miles trophy wall.

I didn't dispute that the Arkansas and Ole Miss losses didn't bring big heat down on Miles, but taking into account how many more games are scheduled before Alabama each year than after, you'd be hard pressed to deny the negative affect on LSU after each yearly loss to the Tide.

Not really. Most of the pre-Bama games are nonconference games.

Any coach losing to Arkansas two years in a row is proper cause to get fired.

Because he is an average/below average coach. And because he's not Nick Saban. LSU will never get over him coaching Bama.
