They are upset because they were considered the best in the west (after Saban rescued them from years of mediocracy) during a great era of LSU football 2002-present. But during these glory years the coach who jumped started the run , used them as a stepping stone and ended up at Bama. Bama since his arrival has thoroughly dethroned them from the top , has won 3 in a row, won 3 BCSNCs since their last one won, shut them out in a NC game, takes top recruits from them and there is no end in sight of being dominated by Bama. Also, it eats them up that Bama only considers them as another game (a big game lately) and not the rival game they desperately wish. I'm sure others can add more but that's a pretty good observation summary of LSU fans on Bama.

Nick Saban
Correct.

Most LSU Fans/Grads, except for that group of program/coach/athlete worshipping and defending Sunshine Pumpers, know exactly what we have in Les Miles and would take Saban back in a New York minute.

Many are still butt hurt over the way Nick left LSU for Miami. He waited too long to decide and then announce he was leaving (On Christmas Day mind you) while the team was getting ready for the Capitol One Bowl. (Denying the chance for LSU to go after Spurrier or Meyer)

He then infuriated many more when he decides to get back into college coaching at one of LSU's main SEC West Rivals.

If all that's not bad enough, then add all the National Championships has produced at Bama, the obvious superior success of the "Process" and the legendary coaching/game management blunders of Les Miles and you have all the makings of a Nick Saban Gumbo that is hated and despised.

The Butt Hurt is subsiding, but it's still a powerful active emotion from many LSU'ers.

You are such a good poster until I see you in a Bama/LSU thread. You often seem like one of the most upset people in these type of threads.

ReauxlTide222's mother could indeed be a filthy whore, though. we need to find this out before completely dismissing that post.

I think some of it is that Bama has been the gold standard of the SEC for most if it's history. Even if the younger generations didn't experience it, they learned from their parents to envy and hate Bama. It's the same with any of the old guard SEC rivals, especially when they're competitive and Bama is doing well.

You always find Awbs doing it...ever want to see some serious OBSESSION, go to Inside the Auburn Tigers Scout site. I can read more about Bama there than I do on Bama sites.

The Vols can be just as obsessed when they're competitive but that's been a while so you don't see much other than an occasional comment from them any more.

All the comments about Bama and Saban relative to LSU are correct but I do think this is a factor as well.
