Bama will be 2 or 3 in rushing, but also 2 or 3 in passing, net result has Bama 1 in total offense. This is not silly over top crimson colored glasses, it's simply fact that Bama has best overall potential on offense in Saban era courtesy talent and depth, and most important best player at QB with a year under his belt and vastly improved passing to go along with legs. You have no idea what it will be like to alternate Bo with Joshua, the epitome of change ups. Jacobs is the forgotten ace because of public perception due to fact he was only a 3 star. I predict Jacobs will be the SEC offensive player of year if not Hurts again.

I'd say Auburn/Bama are, at worst, equals to one another with Auburn having the better passer at QB (while Hurts is obv the better runner). Bama has best WR group in the country, IMO, but if AU's young guys can make good on their recruiting rankings we should be in good shape at WR too.

Looking at possible starters here:
QB- AU
RB- push
WR- Bama
TE- ???
OL- push, maybe slight edge to Bama bc of Jonah at LT while AU is unsure of who our tackles will be.

I think Auburn could prove to be the better offense because of Stidham's passing opening things up for the run game.

Well just based on how we've performed under gus so far, I'd say Auburn. Led in 2013 and 2016, were second in 2014.

Holy shite looking back on 2013 stats. 729 attempts, 4596 yards, 6.3 yards/attempt, 48 touchdowns, 328.3 yards/game. DAMN

Edit: when do you think we'll see that type of year again?

Surely you're smart enough to figure out that Chubb played 4 more games because AU ran Pettway into the ground

No Chubb played 4 more games than Pettway because Auburn values the health of our student-athletes and let's them heal when they are injured instead of continuing to send them out to get further hobbled.

Is that why Pettway played 2 games injured? Because you let them heal.

Unsure of the order

You can take LSU off the list. Auburn and Alabama will probably have 1,000 yards from the QB position. LSU will be lucky to have 100.

Stidham isn't a 1000 yard rusher. I see him getting about 300-400 yards and 3-5 TD

Still more than whatever Etling will provide. LSU isn't going to be in the too 2.

Auburn will have that just between Pettway and Kerryon Johnson. Plus another 1000 combined between about 5 other players.

State will be top 5 without a doubt. I don't think y'all lead though.

I am going with Ole Miss. They are running for their damn life to escape that Deliverance style arse raping they are about to receive.

Sorry for jacking your thread.

Team Leaders (Top Half) the Last 3 years (Rush Yards Per Game)

2014
1. Georgia (258.8)
2. Auburn (255.5)
3. Mississippi State (233.1)
4. LSU (224.5)
5. Arkansas (218.0)
6. Alabama (206.6)

2015
1. LSU (256.8)
2. Tennessee (223.7)
3. Alabama (199.9)
4. Arkansas (198.3)
5. Auburn (196.3)
6. Georgia (190.4)

2016
1. Auburn (271.3)
2. Alabama (245.0)
3. Kentucky (234.2)
4. LSU (233.1)
5. Mississippi State (231.2)
6. Texas A&M (211.8)

I'd say the Top 3 will be Alabama, Auburn and either LSU or, sneaky pick, Kentucky. Then Georgia/Tennessee/MSU rounding out the top 6.

Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Georgia all averaged less than 200 YPG last year. Arkansas and Vanderbilt only averaged 164 YPG, Georgia 192.

I was high on State because of Fitz, but after seeing the thread where they are dead last in returning OL experience with only 30 combined starts. I'm not so sure.

Their RB is some no-name, no-talent scrub as well.

We will make up for that at the WR position. In Canada's offense last year he had a receiver run for over 600 and several others get carries.

Yea, but their RB situation was trash last year too.

Fitz will run wild against bad defenses and struggle against good ones, just like last year.

13 rush yards vs LSU (1.0 YPC)
61 rush yards vs Auburn (3.6 YPC)
41 rush yards vs BYU (2.6 YPC)
15 rush yards vs Alabama (1.4 YPC)

195 vs South Carolina (11.5 YPC)
110 vs UMass (7.3 YPC)
107 vs Kentucky (6.7 YPC)
119 vs Samford (6.3 YPC)
182 vs Texas A&M (9.1 YPC)
131 vs Arkansas (7.7 YPC)
258 vs Ole Miss (18.4 YPC)
132 vs Miami (OH) (7.3 YPC)
