The offense Les ran was so unbelievably predictable that it's amazing he accomplished as much as he did.
In an era with HUNH (hurry-up-no-huddle) offenses and RPO (run-pass-options) on nearly every play, Les was determined to run a 1970's style (HUTYT) huddle-up-take-your-time and (DTTF) don't-try-to-fool offense. And
This is such BS. Les ran an offense that featured LF. Had great OLine minus playing Bama. Played a bunch of teams with sorry defenses where he got the bulk of his yards.
This notion that Les's offense held him back is plain homerism or an excuss for LF that is false. He was in a Great offense scheme for his skills .
Will he do better in the pros than Henry, that is to be seen. But to automatically say yes is L6U homerism

Fournette is a future hall of famer.

I think Fournette will have a decent career. But i think Henry will have the better career. He gets to adjust slowly by playing behind a very good veteran RB who and be in a great position to take over soon. Also, Henry has a great attitude towards the game and works extra hard to get better. Not saying Leo doesnt but i dont recall seeing anything that stands out

quote:LSU's offense absolutely held him back, IMO. It was outdated and he was the clear focal point of any defense because he was the only threat. Throw in the lack of quarterback development and his college production is pretty amazing.

Who will have better NFL Career: Henry or Fournette
And why?
This is LF's career stats againt the top 3 RB's in the history of bama football. Why you ask?
Leonard Fournette- (32 games) (Att 616) (Yds 3830) (Avg 6.2)
Derrick Henry- (39 game)(Att 602)(Yds 3591)( Avg 6.0)
Shaun Alexander- (42 games) (Att 727) (Yds 3565) (4.9)
Bobby Humphrey- (36 games) (Att 615) (Yds 3420) (Avg 5.6)
Like I said...more yards, in fewer games, with a higher YPC average than EVERY back from bama...EVER.
It hurts. Doesn't it?

Think about that...let it marinate in your mind.
LF will be a star in the NFL. Accept it. Deal with it. Move on.
I don't think you understand. Just because someone did well in college, that doesn't mean they are guaranteed to do well in the NFL. That's why the term "NFL's biggest busts exists". I'm not saying he's going to be a bust but you can't say any college player is 100% bust proof.

And none of those backs played against the 128th and dead last rushing defense in Eastern Michigan, 127th in Texas Tech, 100th in USCe, 92nd in Syracuse, and WKU.
Booger had over 50% of his yards against these shite defenses. And he had more carries than 2 of those 3 so your less games argument is ignorant.

Jesus Christ, how many times are you going to post that?
Given the outdated offense he played in and the shite quarterbacks he played with, it evens itself out.
frick.

LSU's offense was perfect to beat down the 128th and dead last rushing defense in Eastern Michigan, 127th in Texas Tech, 100th in USCe, 92nd in Syracuse, and WKU.
Did UGA's offense hold back a true great RB like H Walker? No.

Why are you comparing running backs from completely different eras?
Posted on 12/26/16 at 8:43 pm to TTsTowel
bullshite. The 1980's offense they ran was perfect to frick up these shite defenses and rack up huge chunks of yardage on the ground.
Posted on 12/26/16 at 8:44 pm to TTsTowel
Because they ran such similar offenses.

Stop with this bullshite. Herschel was the tailback in a Vince Dooley offense. Bo ran in Pat Dye offense. You think they were airing it out? And the defenses they faced were solely constructed to stop the run first. Didn't seem to slow them down.
Next you'll be claiming Bama loaded the box to stop LF.

Hey Benedict Arnold, his run totals made those teams' rankings low

Can't answer that till we know what line will be blocking for L.F. ...
There are a lot of defenses that can him in the N.F.L. . He will need a line too be successful. Look at Ezekiel Elliot .
How long before Henry starts is another variable to factor in .
