Fournette is the better talent.

It honestly depends on the team. AP would be having a dramatically different career if he'd been drafted by the Broncos or Patriots rather than the Vikings.

Depends on whether or not Fornette can stay healthy. He seems to be injury prone.

Leonard already has more yards, in fewer games, with a higher YPC average than any/every Bama RB since 1892.

This was accomplished in a one-dimensional offense at LSU.

What makes you think he won't have a better career than every RB from Bama in the NFL?

Fournette gets a sore toe and sits the game out.

Yeah because college success always translates to NFL right? If this was the case then Wisconsin would be RB uni of the NFL.

Both are average NFL backs, but Fournette I guess

Because he won't get to play the 128th and dead last rushing defense in Eastern Michigan, 127th in Texas Tech, 100th in USCe, 92nd in Syracuse, and WKU.

Depends on the team.

Derrick Henry plays behind a really good offensive line. Leonard Fournette likely won't land on a team like that. Then again, LF will likely start while DH stays second fiddle.

Logic has no place for this board. Same place would rather compare two sets of stats even though there are an indefinite amount of variables that may or may not need to be accounted for such as different teams, rosters, blocking schemes, offensive philosophies, etc.

Fournette could go to the Browns and his career would already be over. Or, he could go somewhere like the Panthers and be used effectively. Henry, on the other hand, is at a good team that wants to run the ball but he's not the best RB on his team and may be a while before he is.

You people just don't get it. I can't say I'm surprised. That Gump thingy is so much more than a meassage-board zinger.
The offense Les ran was so unbelievably predictable that it's amazing he accomplished as much as he did.

In an era with HUNH (hurry-up-no-huddle) offenses and RPO (run-pass-options) on nearly every play, Les was determined to run a 1970's style (HUTYT) huddle-up-take-your-time and (DTTF) don't-try-to-fool'em offense. And still LF was able to rush for more than any RB from bama...EVER.

Think about that...let it marinate in your mind.

LF will be a star in the NFL. Accept it. Deal with it. Move on.

Which could very well translate into a longer career.

Way too soon and too close to tell. Too many factors. I favor DH but *only* because of lack of injuries. Dude was never hurt in 3 (really 2) years at college ball. LF7 got used excessively and *overly-predicatively*. Otherwise, in college ball he stays as healthy as DH. If LF7 goes to a team where he is not used excessively, he could out-work, out-distance DH. Ask this question again in about 2 or 3 years.

What makes you think he won't end up running behind the shittiest OL in the league, be subject to frequent injuries, and subsequently have an abbreviated career?
