Not so sure about that one. He would have had more talent around him at LSU, and they have plays in their offense to utilize his running ability

surrounded by more talent probably definately in terms of starzzz*. i bet he was just fine with the 2014 offense as a whole though and I'd definately take it over lsu that year.

I'm not sure where you get the "lsu offense runs more plays that utilize his running". if you mean running 2 steps and handing the ball off I'm with ya. States offense involved tons of designed runs for dak the entire time he was there

That's play is your reasoning behind the statement that lsu would have utilized his running better?

I can't even.

I didn't say that LSU had "more" QB running plays or even that he'd be a better runner there. I just said he would have had more success (possibly a ship) and LSU has some elements in their offense to use Dak's legs. Honestly, Mullen was starting to run Dak into the ground in '14. Running him a little less would have been a good thing.

Take from that what you will.
It is crazy how similar Les and Richt are at times. Richt wanted Cam as a TE

Pretty much every coach has missed on a recruit because of what position they wanted him to play.

Lsu wanted Brandon bolden as a linebacker so he came to ole miss to play running back.

We recruited a guy to play linebacker that ended up as an rb at lsu.

Both ended up playing running back for the patriots.

Dak was perfect for mullens system. I would have advised him to go to state.

LSU whiffed on Dak.

Another topic in this thread is how coaches make QBs better, which I think is a farce, especially in college. Cam Cam has road that Bree's, rivers story for far too long. Mullins didn't create this Dak either. The dude is just good.

Mullen is a God damn QB whisperer.

Dak was forced to learn how to be a QB and did it under the tutelage of one of the better QB developers in Mullen. That's why a very raw run threat only QB is tearing up -NFL defenses

If he went to LSU he would have coasted on his athleticism like every LSU QB since y'all became relevant again

Gary Crowton's unwillingness to recruit Dak was the straw that broke the camel's back on his career at LSU. Ensminger kept pushing for Dak to be recruited as a QB, but Crowton wouldn't budge.

Phillip Rivers would've been the goofiest tight end in the history of college football.

Based on talent he is doing ok Mett was a success.

Jennings just didn't have the tools to succeed.

Harris is young we will wait and see but I'm hopeful.
