Isn't that the class where they took Rivers instead of Dak?

Les didn't pass on Dak, they wanted him as a safety.

Take from that what you will.

Let's be real here. Mullen did a lot for Dak. He would not have done as well at LSU.

it happens. Bama and Auburn both wanted Phillip Rivers as a tight end. Recruiting- particularly quarterback recruiting- is a crap shoot

Meh, I'd agree, early on. And you all can laugh at me for this, but Cameron does have a pretty solid pedigree when it comes to working with NFL qb's. Dak made big strides late in his career, and I think Cam could have helped him.

Dak seems to be doing fine without Cam.

Maybe Cam used to be a good QB coach, but his track record at LSU hasn't been good based on the talent they have had.

Nope. And the lead recruiter was.... Dabo Swinney.

A. My comment was in no way intended to be a slight on what Dak and Mullen accomplished in their time together.

B. To look at the last two years and offer that as a condemnation upon Cam Cameron's abilities is shortsighted. Miles and LSU are in it for the long game.

No worries man.

Given how close LSU was to firing Les at the end of last season, I'm curious as to your take on "long game". Wouldn't that imply that Cam has been actually developing a qb?

Given LSU recruiting overall, 2 years seems like a long time to wait to get/develop a qb.

Is Cam the key contributor to the LSU offensive game plan?

Not so sure about that one. He would have had more talent around him at LSU, and they have plays in their offense to utilize his running ability.
