Get past the hate for just one thread, Randy.

I feel the same way as the OP living in Indiana. I don't talk shite with 99% of the Big Ten fans because they simply don't get it. SEC fans are family, whether we like it or not, because of our shared passion for college football. I am often ashamed of the idiocy committed by some of our fans, but I am never ashamed of the passion.

Great post. I also love football. For as much as I hate em, I still love Bama's rivals as well. Some of my best memories were before and after games in Tuscaloosa, Baton Rouge, Auburn, Oxford, Colombia, Starkville, etc just interacting with other fans.

Great post. For the tl/drpeople: It took me a minute and 40 seconds to read Salsa's story. Are we really THAT busy that we can't take less than two minutes of our time to read a quality post?
Salsa, it's too bad that you transferred to a school without football, regardless of how good of a player you were. I'll bet you were a great teammate.
I too, love football. We threw an Iron Bowl party here in Minnesota. Although we all hate Alabama, the game provided us with many moments of cheering and happiness. We went crazy over the Iron Bowl win last year and probably celebrated a little too much. While this year's game could never live up to last year's, it still brought together great friends and a love of Auburn football. For that I am grateful for the game.
