The thread title is greatest though, not just great.

Just before the 1974–75 season... Summitt earned $250 monthly and washed the players' uniforms - uniforms purchased the previous year with proceeds from a donut sale.

What is most impressive about that, is Fulmer left UT in '73, and yet they still earned enough to buy those uniforms.

Not debatable in Pat's case.

Geno's won more titles and owned her head to head.

The man who got the Cadillac, not the lighter.

Wasn't it a watch?
You're right. The story Coach Bryant told was that he got a cigarette lighter. Actually though, it wasn't true, but simply a joke that Coach Bryant told at a sports luncheon, and it took off from there.

I feel like it's Pat Summit.

No disrespect to Saban or any of the other legendary names on your list... But she literally built it from the ground up.

By championships alone: John McDonnell & Pat Henry

They absolutely dominate(d) their competition.

Pretty much.

I'd agree with the others on Summit though.

It's McDonnell.

Let's be realistic.

It's got to be McDonnell but I would trade him for Saban, Donovan, or Skip.

You win, Geno is greatest in SEC.

You wouldn't happen to be a Ford car salesman would you?

It's someone nobody has heard of? Has greatest been redefined?
