Pat and Skip both benefited from the same thing. Being the coach at a school that got behind them and supported a sport that most schools at the time didnt give a flying you know what about
they also deserve a lot of credit for generating interest and building the sport as a whole. Ron Polk and Skip Bertman were invaluable to college baseball. And so was Pat Summitt for womens basketball.

But if anyone answers Pat Summit, then they would agree that Pat Henry and the Arky track coach dominate her in every way

But my answer to this would be Saban. College football is a joke now how competitive it is. There is so much money involved schools from every corner of the country and every conference are doing everything they can to win. There is 22 starters on a team. Someone should not be able to consistently dominate like Saban is doing
Coaches across the country are gettig paid 3 million plus
In womens college basketball you will have one coach making 2 million a year and a coach in a power 5 conference making 250k......

You don't even remember what you said
Someone stated her as the best basketball coach in the sec and you said

Couldnt possibly disagree more
That is what I am arguing, not looking at any coaches outside of college basketball and coached in the sec

Better Basketball coaches:
Pitino
Donovan
Rupp
Cal
and many others.
Look we will have to agree to disagree. We are just going to end up flinging shite at each other

So they are not only responsible for building a sport, they also were able to continue to dominate that sport once the sport became competitive. I agree that womens college basketball does not have a lot of parity even today, but college baseball definitely does and did when Bertman coached. It may have more today, but there was plenty of parity in the latter half of the 90s, especially in the SEC. Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Miss State, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, and Arkansas all made the CWS during Skip's tenure at LSU.

I'm not going to fling shite and yes we disagree, I just wanted you to actually listed something after you forgot what you said.
The only person that I would even agree is close is Rupp

If it is all sports, you'd be hard pressed to have a better resume than Pat Henry.

John McDonnell is 10x the coach of Henry...sorry but there may not be a more dominant coach in any sport at the collegiate level than John McDonnell....ever.

I don't think that's true. I do think he's been at it longer and got a job at a large school earlier. I would think guys that are achieving at their level are pretty close in caliber.

Running against Arky in the 90s wasn't even fair. He built that team so deep and fast, you never had a chance

His cross country success is pretty amazing as well. That's what separates him from a guy like Henry.
