Also, no way Jason White deserved it more than Larry Fitzgerald.

Troy Smith looked very deserving.

Nobody was confused about what Troy Smith was. One bowl game isn't the reason he got drafted out of charity in the 6th round.

Which is stupid, IMO.

You give the award to the best player in the nation, not the best player on the best team

Not saying this doesn't happen, but if happened all the time Richardson would've gotten it last year over RGIII.

Running was a big part of his game in college that was never going to get much love in the pros.

Shaun Alexander

He was beat out by that fat running back from Wisconsin if remember correctly.

Who had a 143 passer rating and 3 to 1 TD to INT ratio. Gerhart had less yards with a future #1 draft pick taking alot of focus off of him.

S. Alexander would have won it, had our coaches not been idiots and used him to his potential.

Bama's QB had an equal or better year

Not really, Gehart was the focus of that offense.

He had less yardage

Gerhart 1871 yds 27 TDs
157 yds 0 TDs

Ingram 1658 yds 17 TDs
334 yds 3 TDs

Luck was a freshman and threw 13 TDs that year.
Also Gerhart's line was an absolute joke compared to Ingram's. Ingram won the Heisman because he played on the better team that's the only reason Richardson was even in the convo with Griffin this year.

Why are you highlighting only a portion of the stats? You wanna go the Doak Walker route?

Ingram was a better player. Period. How many fumbles did Gerhart lose? Ingram lost none.

And the Stanford Oline was a joke? Gimme a break. Go back and look who was drafted off that line.

Toby led the nation in virtually EVERY RB stat that year. He has a strong case. But Peyton is the answer. I mean come on. Peyton fricking Manning.
