Ole Miss loses 4 of their top 5 sack leaders... The d-line MAY be just as talented, but I think you can expect a small drop off.

Alabama loses a lot of players, but even with all the talent there, and with so many new faces, it's unfair to predict them at #1 right now.

South Carolina lost their all-time Sack and TFL leader, so I doubt they'll so easily replace Norwood next year. However, they return a lot of players off a solid defense last year. A solid candidate for #1. But, depth continues to be an issue for them, so if injuries strike, SC won't be #1.

Florida loses 3 potential 1st rounders, which hurts a lot. They lose their 2 best pass rushers, and Spikes, who moved around a lot and provided versatility near the LOS. But Florida will be experienced at DT and S, and Janoris Jenkins has one Corner spot comfortably locked down.

LSU, with one of it's weaker lines in years, ended in the top 3 in scoring defense in 2009. They return arguably the best MLB in the conference, the best cover corner, and what looks to be a more talented defensive line rotation. If LSU can find a decent safety, they could be the best D in the conference.

My respect for you as a poster has gone up immensely. And not just because I agree with your analysis about my team.

If the same were true about any other team's defense you had picked I'd feel the same.

It's refreshing to see non-homer posts on here.
