Auburn and Florida who had long streaks without a losing season.

It was only 4 years between losing seasons for Auburn. It was 35 years for Florida.

I was beginning to think that in the 12 game era with the way UF recruits, the streak wouldn't end. But things happen and eventually these teams will have a losing season too. If I had to guess I would probably say Alabama because it is harder to replace Saban.

I've followed CFB long enough to know suckage is just around the corner for anyone....NU, ND, OU, etc, etc. Texas has more D1 recruits annually than anyone (almost a 1/3 more than Cali even though Texas has less population). How in the hell can the Longhorns go 5-7??? It almost has to be intentional.

LSU, Bama is historically better

what does that have anything to do with the question. So the past now dictates the future? I don't see either having a losing season for a looong time though.

Those graphs also include forfeited/vacated games which is pretty misleading and leads to some dramatic "swings" that don't really exist.

Sorry we don't cheat like the Alabama schools.

Saban didn't have LSU at the level he has Alabama at right now.

Imagine how good the 2005-2007 teams would have been with Saban.

Literally might have done at LSU what he is doing at Alabama now.

Its scary to think what Saban could have done at LSU if he would have stayed. The talent of 2005-2007 was crazy good.

LSU. Ole Miss has proven it can beat LSU consistently, and they'll never have a chance against the gumps.

Bama has the first losing season. The Universe always returns things to the mean. And Karma keeps track of "luck" and "good fortune" and returns it in opposite form when things are bad. Three or four years after Saban leaves I expect a meltdown of cfb biblical proportions.

LSU is 15 years into an amazingly consistent run and is humming along with some inherent recruiting advantages and a far less toxic fan base and a much more realistic football culture. It's built to withstand reversal of fortune because it hasn't gone "all in" with a Cult of Personality. When Saban leaves that program will unravel (3/4 years later) if they are not VERY fortunate with their next hire.

That's an interesting opinion you have there. I disagree.

Why 14 years? It's not because we won three straight before then right? I love arbitrary time periods.

Arbitrary?

I chose 2000-present because it is the data of this current century you mook.

So it's arbitrary? Like I can say we've won 3 of 6 soon to be 4 of 7?
