barring some disaster at both schools neither Saban or Miles will have a losing season. Really depends on who both schools hire to replace their current coaches. Both have tremendous resources.

Bama was on a two game losing streak to start the 2009 season as well.

there is no excuse imo for what Boom is doing at Florida. I mean hire a good offensive coordinator Too many resources there for them as well.

LSU

BAMA

Total accumulated movement:
LSU- 242 spots
BAMA- 269 spots

LSU is a more consistent program than Alabama.

Consistent to average does equate probability for a losing season at all.

Those graphs also include forfeited/vacated games which is pretty misleading and leads to some dramatic "swings" that don't really exist.

Besides "consistency" means nothing in a vaccuum.

Your team goes 4-8 every year for 30 years and you're the most consistent program in the country, you also f'ing suck.

Bama has a greater history of variation - they are more likely to take radical swings in either direction than LSU. Since they're both winning the only way for them to go is down.

Besides including vacated games, again your analysis of the statistic don't prove anything for the op. they do not relate. Horrible stat for the argument.

If ones average is higher, then the other teams lesser swing from the op can have an equal probability of a losing season Which is why your analysis is way off from proving a point.

Read the thread, it went like this:

OP: Who has a losing season first Bama or LSU and why?
Me: Bama. LSU is the more consistent program.
CapstoneGrad: Based on what?
Me: Overwhelming history.
NC14: Go on, we are all paying attention.

So I showed why I thought they were a more consistent program.

It wasn't a question of who the more consistent winner was. I never said that and Alabama fans never specified they wanted to see that. They wanted to see why I thought LSU was more consistent. Well there it is.
