wouldn't VaTech be a better addition for football quality?

Those choices certainly would work.

A&M's two biggest recruiting foes and constant rival

Think they would disapprove

and to splain why I pick who I pick

SMU - Campus is gorgeous. Tailgating is good. Has potential to be like Ole Miss. More SEC games in Dallas for me.

Rice - Vandy West. Solid baseball. More SEC games in Houston for me.

added bonus

both of those in the SEC would royally frick recruiting for people who aren't our rivals in Austin. OU would be dunzo as Arky would take over as the #1 out of state school in Dallas. A&M and LSU would essentially lock down Houston.

did I mention more SEC games in Texas for me?

and the double extra bonus?

two privates that arent Baylor would make heads in Waco explode.

they couldnt even complain b/c we'd be doing like they said when we left the Big 12 and would be saving Texas football rivalries! :nana:

We've already gave up some "southerness" w/ y'all; we don't need to cede any more w/ Virginia. FSU / Climpson are much better fits

This.

Texas needs to tone down the ego. They are not as good as they used to be. Everybody knows it except Texas and their big money boosters. Large ego and tiny dick syndrome.

You realize there's not one uniform "southern" culture. It's made up of many subcultures, one of which is the border south (Missouri, Kentucky, Virginia)

Hey guy, what's your problem? Would you prefer I lie about my fan allegiance and say I'm a fan of an SEC team? I'm a Baylor Alum. I also love college football. the SEC and its fanbases are the best place to be a fan of college football. I work in SEC country and was introduced to this forum by a coworker who is a diehard Aggie. I believe if you were to read my sparse posts, you would admit that I am not trolling people, am not obnoxiously critical of the SEC, and for the most part, not trying to disrupt the SEC centric nature of this forum by constantly talking about non SEC centric topics. This thread, for example, is out of genuine curiousity to see what you, as SEC fans, would like to see added to your league, as conference realignment is obviously not dead and only like to be more radical if the NCAA loses control of rule making regarding the power conferences.

Even though I wouldn't mind playing teams like Clemson, UT and OU more often, we're already TOO DAMN BIG as it is! It's bad enough we get to play other members of the conference once every 10 years or whatever. Adding more people, no matter how good they are, will only make the problem worse.
