Agreed.
Pure hypothetical.
Was simply listing states--contiguous to current SEC states--that don't already have an SEC presence.

I'd be for adding two eastern schools, then re-working the east/west conference boundary.

OU and OSU have a common board of Regents and are joined at the hip.

It is both or nothing there.

Thats why OU isn't in the PAC 12.

Longhorns to SEC will never ever happen for many reasons.

Hey guy, what's your problem? Would you prefer I lie about my fan allegiance and say I'm a fan of an SEC team?

I'm a Baylor Alum. I also love college football. the SEC and its fanbases are the best place to be a fan of college football. I work in SEC country and was introduced to this forum by a coworker who is a diehard Aggie. I believe if you were to read my sparse posts, you would admit that I am not trolling people, am not obnoxiously critical of the SEC, and for the most part, not trying to disrupt the SEC centric nature of this forum by constantly talking about non SEC centric topics.

This thread, for example, is out of genuine curiousity to see what you, as SEC fans, would like to see added to your league, as conference realignment is obviously not dead and only like to be more radical if the NCAA loses control of rule making regarding the power conferences.

People think this forum is for entirely being jerks to each other.

Take it not seriously dear friend

I would LOVE to see us pick up GA tech and Tulane.

Reasoning - the historical significance.

It would make the GA/Tech rivalry more meaningful AND it would give the West an egghead schhol like we have in Vandy in the East

Good info, did not know that.

Looks like one of the Virginia schools and one of the North Carolina schools then. Only possible answer.

my 2nd choices

Gives us the whole confederacy - place vandy and Mizzou in the West

Both divisions still have an egghead school...

First off, Baylor is not SEC material.

Secondly, I would want to add FSU and Clemson

UVA / Duke / UNC / etc weaken the conference IMO

How?

They are not any worse than Moo State, Vandy or Kentucky

They ALL raise the bar on academics, which SHOULD matter...

We will NEVER get UNC unless the ACC disbands. UVA and Duke are longshots.

VA Tech can't come, not after the VA legislature held the ACC's dick to the fire to force the conference to bring them in.

Outside of ECU, which is worse academically than the 'Sippi schools, we are cock blocked in NC as well.

We MIGHT have a shot at NC State if it comes down to it, but I really can't see us getting into Virginia unless the Cavaliers grow a real pair...

I'm amazed how many of you are picking teams representing new states, I get that these are much more likely ACTUAL additions given the tv contracting, but is that something you personally give a crap about?

Miami + Hawaii, think of the new vacation options!

If I can add anyone, I'd add Texas & Oklahoma. That way Bama & Auburn can move to the east, and Mizzou would move to the west. The divisions would be:

West - UT, aTm, OU, Mizzou, Arky, LSU, MSU, OM

East - Bama, AU, UGA, UF, UT, USCe, UK, Vandy

ETA: But if I was picking the teams who would be in the best interest of the SEC, I'd go with UNC & UVA purely for the tv markets.
