Dad, uncle, cousin and now sister went to Auburn. I went to UGA, played football for 1.5 years, and will root silently for Auburn whenever a wing for them has absolutely no impact on UGA.

I was mainly just saying in my earlier posts that your degree saying "University of Georgia" on it is typically a better situation than having one from auburn. In general.

Meh, I guess so. I always thought it was kinda silly to rank universities against other universities, because they are all aggregates of wildly different majors and programs with wildly different research goals and educational objectives. As an Arch grad, I don't care about how the rest of Auburn fares, I care that Auburn's Architecture program remains a top program...because that's all that matters relative to where I went to school to anyone I'll ever interview with. Program rankings and perceptions matter much more.

At the end of the day, though, past your first couple of jobs...no one cares where you went to school.

I'll put it this way. Been here 2 1/2 years and I have one Ole miss shirt that I've worn once.

See the username. I grew up a Vandy fan. It's like Stockholm syndrome. There is too much pain and agony to give them up even though I'm at Auburn.

Graduated from Mississippi State but was a lifelong Bama fan. I pull for State when not playing Bama but you can't overlook all the years of season tickets and family ties to Bama. Call me sidewalk all you want .

You should be apologizing for furthering the Alabama fan stereotype

You didn't attend the University of Alabama. So that should change things. It's weird why it doesn't. Are you ashamed you didn't get in to Alabama or something?

Played D2 baseball until had a car wreck . Wasn't good enough to play at Bama but 4 years at a place doesn't change shite if you arena lifelong fan. Could have got into Bama or wherever for that matter but used the scholly money to keep playing baseball

So you root for Alabama over the school you actually attended when they play each other? I just don't get it. The t shirt you wore at age 11 doesn't matter.

You just don't understand dude.

He had Bama underwear long before MSU locked him in a room with a professor for four years and gave him some cheesy "degree".

He don't play class, he's here for the football team.

Well, it actually does. It it almost impossible to overcome a lifetime of being a fan of a team, only to find that your favorite school doesn't offer the degree you are striving for. It doesn't erase a childhood of memories sitting beside the radio with my Grandpa listening
to Bama games.
