OK, well all that really says is that most are in the same ball park, except Vandy, with UF and UGA being a little higher than the others.

I guess I don't see the big deal about a difference of a couple of points.

I don't have a dog in this fight, anyway, since I did not attend any of the schools and the schools I did attend are more prestigious and have higher average scores than Vanderbilt does.....

Which schools would those be? I've seen you post something similar to the above quote several times on this site now without ever actually mentioning any school names. Any reason behind that? You wouldn't be lying on the internet, would you?

Back in the late 90's, I think it was Auburn.

I have a feeling he went to the University of San Francisco.

That would be a very educated guess.

I don't think so. I would assume Bama is near the top though. I mean, I know several people who are only going to Bama because they couldn't get into Auburn. Auburn has pretty good academics overall.

if you can get into alabama you can get into auburn, and vice versa. I don't think anyone I went to High School with got rejected by either.

Nobody in the South takes the SAT, unless they are trying to get into a private school somewhere.....at least that was the case when I was in high school....so that info is basically worthless....

I already know what the reply is going to be , but in Florida the SAT is the preferred test.

FWIW, UF was around 36% this year.

I hear this nonsense all the time.

Auburn has a higher acceptance rate and a smaller # of applicants every year. The idea that AU is a tier above isn't based in reality.
