because 2007 LSU had 2 losses thats the only thing your basing them not being able to beat 04 SC On. That was the weirdest CFB year of all time, they are not even close to being the worst BCS championship team of all time

no way in hell a gene chizik coached team beats a pete carroll team.

USC '04 was gross. I'd say any of the Bama teams and the '08 Florida team. The others would be close.

Agree with this. Auburn had trouble with Oregon. That '04 USC team would have eaten them alive.

08 florida team is most complete sec champ.

04 usc was absolutely loaded and balanced on offense and defense.

I agree '04 USC was loaded but I don't think they could beat the '08 UF team or the Bama teams. Everyone else is a toss up. Y'all get Auburn. I don't think that's even a question.

I'm going to say that 2008 Florida, 2011 Alabama, and 2012 Alabama could beat 2004 USC.

2006 Florida, 2007 LSU, 2009 Alabama, and 2010 Auburn would lose.

'09 Bama would beat '04 USC IMO

Great teams don't lose 2 games to unranked opponents.

i feel the bama teams wouldnt have the offensive firepower to keep up with SC. the oklahoma offense that SC shut down was better than any of the bama offenses.

not to take anything away from alabama, but the notre dame team they beat was a joke, texas lost colt mccoy, and the only thing i have to say about lsu is "JJ". the 04 usc offense bears no resemblance to any of those teams alabama beat for their national championships.

best matchup is against 08 florida

They wouldn't have to. The defenses wouldn't allow USC to score more than 3 touchdowns IMO. It would be low scoring.

2011 Bama
2008 UF
2003 LSU by coaching staff alone jesus lol
2009 Bama

Those four I'd take over 2004 USC.

Thanks for "not taking anything away" from us. lol

Alabama has a long, long history in big games of "not having enough offensive firepower" yet winning handily anyway. I don't know what would happen with 04 USC, but you can bet all three of the championship teams from Bama over the last 4 years would score some points.

a&m and georgia were able to move the ball and score on bama last year, im sure bush, leinart etc could figure out how to do the same.

I agree, I'd also put LSU's 2006 team on that list

A&M had a spread offense and Saban has always had a little trouble with that. Any traditional offense, Saban is going to stop it some how. The linebacker and defensive line speed is something that the Alabama teams have that '04 USC didn't come close to seeing that year.

Even less chance of a Pete Carroll team losing to a Mack Brown team. But yet, with the right player...
