Also I remember Lafayette being an absolute madhouse. Gas stations, banks, and grocery stores were filled to the max. I would be curious to see how many Katrina victims stayed in Lafayette during the following weeks....

I was 8 years old at the time. We had my Aunt, Uncle, and three cousins come stay with us. I remember how freaked out they were, but at the time I did not really get why. I also remember we had three students that came to my school, in my grade, that were Katrina victims. They stayed till about...

Rivergate is in between RR and Beaulliu place. I think it is called River Gate. RR is nice, but the most of the houses are too close. ...
