Even if we implement a playoff, these "mythical man made polls" will determine which teams enter. So using your logic, we won't have a true champion until we adopt a playoff that includes every team in college football? Makes sense..

Nope the polls would have nothing to do with it... Let the Conference Champions of the 6 Major Conferences in and 2 at-large from any conference. 8 team playoff.

the polls would have nothing to do with those 2 at-large bids you just spoke of? Would we draw teams out of a hat for these 2 bids?

Ten win season, consecutive bowl bids, non losing seasons really carry as much clout as the crystal

who's to say the first or second team left out wouldn't have won it all then? At what point within your logic do championships no longer become mythical, and why?

Because the first or second team left out likely lost to some random scrub team and don't deserve to be in... since they are not in a power conference. How often is there 3 undefeated Non-BCS schools?

And I also think the NBA playoff system is a joke... because it makes the regular season meaningless.

There's no definite line within that arguement though. If you wanted a legitimately pure championship, the closest you could get would to be take the winners of each conference only and throw them in a playoff. Now, polls rarely matter

Why does the winner of a random collection of teams desreve a spot, especially if said random collection is a shitty random collection?
