Every single one of them was a colossal failure in college.

Exactly, the qb position has been lacking in Texas lately, and LSU is feeling it as well as A&M.

I am 68 years old.
I remember playing against A&M in the SWC in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Up until Cheating Sherill came from Pitt Aggy was behind a lot of the SWC.
I wouldn't even say they were in the Top 5 of the Southwest Conference for the 60's and 70's.

They made a commitment under Jackie Sherill in the early 80's to win and win Big at all cost. As much as I hate the Longhorns SMU and A&M are just as culpable as they are for destroying the SWC and forcing Arkansas to the SEC.
Unless Aggy cheats and Texas is down they will never win no matter if they are in the SEC.
You can dress up a dog and call it something else but at the end of the day that dog is licking his butt, scratching for fleas and acting like a dog.

You clearly don't remember the Emory Bellard years:

1972: 3-8
1973: 5-6
1974: 8-3
1975: 10-2 (The year that Arkansas used shady means to get the game moved to December. A&M was 10-0 going into that game)
1976: 10-2
1977: 8-4

he's confusing Kyle Allen as a TX HS prospect likely.

Can't write off Allen or Murray quite yet. Allen will do fine, he'll feast on some poor teams. Murray I just don't have confidence with, he just feels like the QB version of Jonathan Gray. All time great in HS, but peaked due to having a big time athlete parent giving them an early edge, great supporting cast and both are small for their position.

Remarkable to think that the Horns and Aggies both pulled in 5* POY QB's that were basically out of the program in the wink of an eye.

I wouldn't wish the Murray kid on my worst enemy, but apparently someone did... first an Ag and now a Sooner.

Until you understand and except who you are you are not going to be able to move forward
You do not have to listen to the advice. From the late 1950's when Bear Bryant left until Jackie won his first SWC championship in 1985 you finished 3rd or higher 6 times
That is 1/5 of the time

Texas high school football coaches are as a whole probably better than you'll find anywhere. The D1 kids coming out of Texas high schools are above average fundamentally, especially at QB, WR, and DB.

This is a true statement. There are plenty of good coaches in every state, but Texas has so many because it is so big, and coaches get paid very well in Texas.

I think Texas recruits often look better on film because they are playing on perfect fields in big stadiums, with bright lighting, and nice uniforms. Go look up some of Tre White's high school film. Half the clips he's playing QB on a brown grass & dirt field in a dimly lit stadium.

Montgomery's statement is brash, but not far off. Ags were barely the 5th best in conference over those 2 decades.

A&M was a feast or famine team in the SWC. 4th best record in conference but won 2x as many championships as next team did outside of UT.

LSU, BamA, and Auburn aren't going anywhere. Idk why this is such a big deal all of a sudden. Texas am has always had money and decent talent. Since they haven joined the sec they have recruited even better and have more talent. The only problem with texas am is bama, lsu, and auburn lol. These are just flat out better football programs than a&m, and they play the aggies every year and usually beat the shite out of them. It's the same thing that was happening to them in the big 12 with texas and ou...just now it's a little tougher for the aggies in the sec.

Factually incorrect.

We have a winning record all time over auburn and since joining the SEC.

I love this stat.

It really shows where Auburn stands here.

We have a winning record against Auburn since joining, just FYI. If they wanna talk butt fumble lucky win, then we can talk about the screwjob no horse collar on Manziel in '13.
