A&M will never build "into a powerhouse". They've been at it for a century, and they roll snake eyes every time.

When they get a different coach. Sumlin is their biggest problems

A&M needs to lock down Texas as much as possible. This is the first step. Take your dick out at the recruiting table and say "frick Texas, Baylor, TCU, all of them. We are the only SEC team here. Sign"
This! Exactly.

Uh, as long as bama, LSU, and auburn are in their divisionn (which is every frickin year) they don't stand much of a chance. They're like the 3rd or 4th best team in texas according to recruit in-state. Texas, LSU, and oklahoma all get the better players out of texas than the aggies do. Why you ask? Because, theyre texas am and never have and never will amount to shite...period. LSU is going to stomp their arse again this year in br, and will continue to recruit top talent out of texas. Who the frick want to go play at a school that has gay dudes as their chearleaders anyway? I know I wouodnt. frickin aggies, LOL. WRTS.

A&M may be doing life without chance for success.
Hard to turn down the SEC, the stability/$ & shed living in the Texas shadow, but it came at a sacrifice.
On the playing field they are still stuck in the same division with two powerhouses that own them & the killer is they doubled the number of schools that will get the lions share of the recruits & added TCU as a legitimate recruiting threat.
It was a struggle as the third option.. now you have 5 programs to deal with? Big year for the Ags, they are my top choice at taking Texas' spot on the short bus.
Heck, the whole region is up for an interesting year. Already noted Ags could easily have acgarbage year, can Sumlin and pull a dog recruiting class/go dormant for a decade.
Texas: Sleeping like Rip Van Winkle. The last game in 6 years I gave a shite about turned out to be the pretender bowl (TX-ND), OU is our Super Bowl.. obviously UT fans are so gotdam bored they hang out here to furk with aggy. What if Herman is a false prophet? Ted Williams' head may win the triple crown before we wake up again
OU: Legend retires.. I'm drawing a blank, honestly can't remember the new coaches name. Sooners could easily go into the Twilight Zone known as Schnellenbergerville.
Bama: C'mon, Sabah only has one soul right? Just how long of a contract did he get outta ol' Beezlebub? Law of gravity is knocking sooner than later.
LSU: What's more likely... Coach Ogre becomes Knute Rockne or starts the Great Corndog Famine? Pro tip: Hearing that Warren Buffet just shorted a half mil of Oscar Meyer shares

As an older Tigers fan, I remember some serious games against A&M in the past. LSU won some, got their teeth kicked in a few times.
A&M used to have the Wrecking Crew defense, some exceptional backs, and could match up against just about anyone they played.
They faded for awhile, and so did everyone else. LSU went through an ugly decade. Bama did, to a lesser extent, after LSU did. Both climbed back, and you can argue that both rose to their greatest stretch.
A&M can do the same.

TCU as a legitimate recruiting threat.
Since TCU joined the Big 12, here are the number of TCU signees with A&M offers: (out of 640 total players offered)
4-stars: 12
3-star: 7
Since Kenny Hill transferred to TCU and A.J. Hilliard transferred to A&M, those two are a collective 0 balance and not included in the total.
That's a whopping 19 players out of 640 scholarship offers who signed with TCU over A&M (less than 3%).

Bet the last 3 years feel like forever in Austin, especially since at the start of each one you morons have poured Gatorade on your coach for beating a directional school and told everyone "we're back!"
Y'all are so darn entertaining

A&M doesn't have nearly as much "potential" as some think

I'd say they've found their level rather nicely
