Since Saban has been at Alabama you have seen number one class after number one class.

Recruits sign an LOI with Alabama and post Facebook pics of their new car and a handful of cash the very next day. Pictures of Bama players at Hot Wheelz in Mobile getting a $6000 set of wheels and tires on that car.

Mark Emmert, the just retired NCAA president and chancellor at LSU who hired Saban, made sure the NCAA turned a blind eye. He protected his butt buddy Nick like a mama bear over a cub.

Enter NIL. Now EVERYONE can buy a team. Bama recruiting falls off. Other teams began to siphon off the top players.

Saban is now on equal ground. It's a little harder to dominate. It could not happen to a nicer coach or school.

You clearly haven’t been reading what I have been posting for several months.

NIL has killed Saban

I haven't been here several months, but I have been saying the same thing since NIL became a thing.

Now you see why Saban hates it.

It’s not the recruiting . It’s the development, which is a far worse issue.

Meanwhile Kirby is recruiting the kids willing to buy into the work ethic and letting the ones go that aren’t even if they are 5 stars. Money isn’t everything.

They used to tell us that we were racist for assuming those players couldn't afford those cars lol. I wish twxas would have scored one more just to really put a final dagger in their eye.

This might have some validity except that Bama has been recruiting better than ever the last two or three years

Kirby was Saban's best bag man. GTFO here.

Kirby just knows how to use NIL and the portal properly and to his advantage. Saban can't quite grasp it.

He doesn’t have those top end stars this year. Other big problem is their mediocre coordinators.

That is on a point system.

He is still getting great players, no doubt.

The superstars however are going other places. There was a day Nico and Arch would both be in Tuscaloosa.

No longer is this the case.

They literally tackled a D-lineman last night, and he still got the sack. No flag for the O-lineman's tackle.

The only reason Bama kept the game as close as they did was the egregious holding after halftime. I think they got called maybe once but Texas' D was too good for them.

Bama's issue is that Saban has lost his fire. He's old and low T now.

Nobody in the program fears him anymore.

Isn’t Bama pretty much where they’ve always been in recruiting? Top 2-3. I think it’s more than that. Saban has lost a little fire in my opinion. His teams pick up on that.

Enter NIL. Now

It is no accident they that the news of Texas joining the SEC leaked less than a month after the SCOTUS decision allowing NIL.
