Kinda like when OM beat State and ruined State's chance to go to the playoff? At least OM played a significant role in ruining State's "spectacular" season when State has had nothing to do with OM other than getting their arse whipped lately.

Also, you had the GREATEST player in State history to just get done playing and he had a losing record against OM. Keep living your life through OM's losses

We'll probably do the same thing to Simmons that yall did to Stringfellow.

How many times do we have to tell you to get off the Clarksdale public library internet? There are only three computers in that town and you are holding one of them hostage.

I see you got upset about me bringing up the fact that you still have not won ten games in a regular season or even been to the SEC title game. That's ok though we wont judge you on those short comings.

Damn, you got me.

I laugh at you because you can't say anything about State having anything to do with this past season and that's all you can reflect to. You have to live through other teams beating OM since State evidently can't.

Considering this thread is 90% OM fans giving their 2 cents, I think this card fits perfect.

This is a sports message board....people usually comment on current events related to sports on sports message boards.

This current event happens to be a pretty bad event involving a potential msu player. Your initial instinct is "quick...deflect...maybe if I distract them with something completely irrelevant, it'll make this problem NBD".

Sorry bub. All of the irrelevant deflection in the world won't change the fact that Simmons is a pos that pummeled a defenseless woman that was barely conscious.

So Simmons has to move across country change schools and sit a year losing a year of eligibility? That is what Stringfellow had to do for those actions. He got a second chance but there were consequences what should Simmon's be?

If you want to compare Simmons and Stringfellow ok then Simmons should get the same consequence?

Everyone watch out this guy is really getting fired up. He pulled the moon emoji. HAHA jimmies rustled!
Going to be even worse when our first year quarterback goes in dry on your d-fence for the W this year.

And no state didn't have anything to do with your disappointing season. Your team did that all by themselves because that's all they know.

Something is definitely under 15 with you. It's either your age or your iq.

Crack whatever dumbshit peach bowl joke you want. We'll just be over here enjoying another sugar bowl trophy.

But seriously....that's the only thing you could come up with? Damn you noobies are pretty terrible. You might want to lurk for a while longer.

Well to start off, Stringfellow was kicked off his team by his old coach, which lead to him transferring to OM where Freeze accepted him w/ open arms. He wasn't froced to move across country, that was his choice. Also, he didn't lose a year of eligibility, it's called red-shirting, and this is punishment, it is an NCAA rule.

Maybe Mullen will make Simmons redshirt, who knows. But for OM to sit here and say things like "If Merlins allows that piece of crap woman beater to play for him, he's a bigger idiot than I ever imagined" is stupid when you have a player on your team who did the same thing. Yes, they both f'ed up, and yes, if it wasn't a 5*, Mullen would probably show him the door. But his job is to win FB games so all signs are pointing to him joining the team - his 2nd chance will just come a tad earlier.

Well he did that while at another school so that school would give the punishment. And as I have always said I'm all for a second chance. But yes a consequence of his action was forced to change teams just like the FSU QB. Yes it's an NCAA role that effected him as a consequence of his actions. And that lead him to moving across the country. I'm sure he wishes he went to a school were he could have done those actions and just be able to stay.

I hope Simmons gets a second chance and if that's him going to JUCO learning and proving he learned ok go back to State and I'll support it. But there have to be consequences more then just a redshirt which is not a crazy thing for a freshmen to do. I know it sucks for your school that it might cost you and you hate it but if your caught on film beating a helpless women there have to be more of a consequence then just being another redshirt.

What is the difference besides Stringfellow actually knocked her out?

I don't think MSU should just boot Jeffery off-scholarship nor do I think he should not suffer any consequences - somewhere in the middle. So we'll see what happens. Maybe Mullen will make him grey shirt, idk. But I think he will remain on the team.

What was Stringfellow's punishment for his 2nd fight which was in Oxford? Wondering how Freeze deals with repeat offenders.

Actually that is not true if you look at the full court documents they state they are not sure if she fainted or if it was caused by the contact. And it never says he hit or struck her with his hands. What he did do was wrong and was deserving of the consequences.
