Well, it's true. Every time the hype machine gets rolling on the SECRant, I throw on some game/practice tape of him and love the end result.

Wait a minute...Coker could've decided on a number of different schools and start at QB...LSU is one of them, the FSU coaches weren't trying to get him any kind of shot

There is more hype on here from other fan bases hoping he will be bad than anything I've seen on him in a couple weeks.
He is on campus at Alabama, working to get back to 100% and learning the playbook. Will he work out? Exceed expectations (which aren't too high for me)? I guess we will all have to wait and see

I don't think anything that I said in this thread falls under that category. The one question that I have posed is whether Coker could match GMac/AJ's first year stats, and if he does will that be enough to shake off the bust label that the SECr has given him before he's taken one starting snap. Most posters seem to be avoiding this for some reason.
You should know by now that Bama only needs a smart qb to win a title. This year's run will live and die by the oline and defense, not quarterback play.

Scary part is...Coker has some escapability and athleticism but I agree on the OL, but I have a great feeling about what I've seen from the D will be much improved especially the secondary just from new blood and better coaching

I will repeat myself for those that know in their gut that I am right and it frightens them (all of you)
Alabama returns probably the best combination of skilled people in the SEC. (RB WR TE) If Coker turns out to be merely adequate there are enough bullets in the gun to make Alabama a very tough out. But,if he turns out to be very good,or whoever starts does,You boys are in big big trouble.
Defensively we will be better,more depth and speed on the DL, experience at LB and Safety, and it has to get better at corner it can't be worse.From what I saw at ADay playing man against some very good WR's I am encouraged.
OL you have 4 starters back from the Sugar Bowl, it will come down to the LT spot and we should have good candidates to fill the job.

You forgot the most important part, the OL. I won't believe our offense will dominate until I see the OL.
