The defense is going to be better. On offense Alabama has skill people everywhere and good ones. The OLine IMO will be better if the LT steps up,whoever he may be. Three solid TE's. You don't have all those number one classes and not have plenty of talent.

It will boil down to QB. If Coker is just average Alabama will be a tough out,but I think some posts here are being made out of fear. Because if Coker turns out to be very good, Alabama can win it all.

Of course you do.

I'll say one thing. If you had anyone but Kiffin coaching him I'd be worried. That dude has the opposite Midas touch plus has never coached QBs in his career.

See AJ, 2011 national champion.

See G mac. 2009 national champion.

Did they both run the Wing-T in high school?

Neither did. But I see your point. I still wouldn't get too hopeful on our QB not being good enough to beat wholesale arse.

It's going to be a fun year in the SEC. Soooo many unanswered questions on so many teams this year.

I agree. I'm excited about our D. Which is always the case for me.

It will be a crazy year I believe. Good or bad, Idk.

this is the only playing time Coker has had as a collegiate athlete. Yes, i am judging him on his performance, not on personal hype and delusion

Actually, you're judging him on stats. Because if you really watch his garbage time footage and take away any throwaways/drops, he IS accurate.

I say you put Coker at guard or TE. He'll be more productive that way.

The fear in here is very real. At worst he should be serviceable. But ,and it is an IF...he turns out to be as good as the hype, imagine all the offensive talent Alabama has with a top notch QB at the helm.
AJ with foot speed and a bigger arm, you boys have big trouble.

Just to be clear, there is no fear from any other fan base about Coker. The only "hype" is from Bama fans. And no, the worst case scenario is not that he's just serviceable. He could be a complete disaster.
I am much more concerned about the potential of the QBs that LSU has fighting for a spot than anybody Alabama has right now.

Is Coker that QB with the feeble knees?

3 losses, bust.
2 losses, dissapointed but excited for '15
1 loss, met expectations
0 loss, exceeded expectations

I think this is accurate and fair (assuming the losses were due to poor/marginal QB play).

Coker/Cornwell are the perfect reps for "How to build a QB" from a physical standpoint. Size, arm strength, etc.

Hard to have more "potential" than those two.

Jacob Coker = Russell Wilson?

Both athletic/mobile QB's that transferred into a prostyle offense.
