Alabama fans have already anointed him the next coming of Christ, so anything less than that will be a bust.

Actually, you're judging him on stats. Because if you really watch his garbage time footage and take away any throwaways/drops, he IS accurate.

I have watched his film and he is NOT accurate, especially when he is under pressure. But like you said, if you take away the interceptions and incomplete passes, he is very accurate

Its this kind of logic that makes Alabama fans look dumb. So because a different QB in years past did well, Coker will do well too. Ya know, because history repeats itself amirite?

Does this mean that Auburn will make it to the National Championship game this year because they always go the ship with a JUCO Qb?

I'm interested in seeing Coker lead Bama's offense against UF's defense, especially with Bama having a weaker offensive line than in year's past.

Logic like yours is what makes me think you scared. From the reasons you gave that our new QB has no shot(because he lacks experince), it was a fair assessment. Dwi.

We only need him to have his best two or three times. So ill take it. AJ had his best day in the natty vs LSU. As a rook.

What part is unrealistic about me saying we have won 2 national championships in the past 5 years with QB's with no experience? Have u watched Alabama football recently. We win with Defense. Last year was a little different(not champs, poor D), but the two national championships I'm mentioning were won with D. You agree?

After reading up on him he looks to me like a mirror image of Stephen Rivers! Both 3 star recruits in high school out of Alabama

And you think your defense will be better this year??? Only position that may be improved will be the defensive line. Linebackers will take a step back and the secondary is average at best with the exception of Collins

But this thread is about Coker. Not the previous Qbs that had a couple years in the system before they took the reins. Coker hasnt even had a spring to learn the playbook. Huge difference

I guess we will just have to wait and see. I'm excited about Coker, and you can try, but you can't change that fact.

Bama's secondary will still be better than the vast majority of the SEC's. Only ones I'm certain will be better off the top of my head will be LSU's and Florida's.

I will give Bammers this, he has probably had the playbook for awhile now. He is a pretty smart dude from all accounts, so I can't see him not knowing the plays on paper. On the field with 300 pound linemen after you is a different story, however.

Personally, I think Coker will be middle of the pack in a weak QB year for SEC squads. Most games won't even come down to his ability to pass at all, but if he gets into close ones late with Auburn, LSU, Florida, and maybe someone like aTm I don't see him putting the team on his back if that is what it comes to.

If anything, this year will be easy on Coker, considering Mett, Murray, Manziel, and Shaw aren't raping defenses and forcing a shootout left and right.

Jake will be fine. Even if his numbers aren't great, as long as we have a championship (SEC) season at least, I will be happy. I can say that definitively. It will be nice though. Nobody has tape hardly on the dude and his skill set is way different than any other QB Bama has had in a while. Anybody that says otherwise from the end of that statement is just trolling.
