You can sugarcoat it all you want but the kid that played QB for LSU was A W F U L they won in spite of him. If Mett played that game was over by halftime.
yes Jennings, a true freshman QB making his first start, was awful.

Sugarcoat that all you want too.

Kinda funny how desperate Bama was, Coker was a three star with no offer from bama coming out of highschool

Yeah, corndogs. Remember what happened with Dupre and Fournette! Once Bama decides they're the guy, we don't have a chance. fricking coonasses. Roll damn tide PAWL!

Ture, that is why Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Jerry Rice, Dan Marino, Barry Sanders, John Elway, Jim Kelly, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, and others all went to Bama. If they want them they get 'em

based on our OC already having a full year with Jennings

Hadn't thought about that. Yeah, LSU gets the edge for me. Wish Bama would have hired Randy Sanders to further improve the staff this offseason.

Watching Jennings in the bowl game, I don't see how anyone in the country, even swamp kittens, could want LSU's QB situation.

LSU will find a way to help their QB vastly under achieve and Alabama will teach their QB to hand off. It's a wash. The Bama kid will have a much better NFL shot, though.

Too bad he couldn't break in against a defense like A&M's.

Meh, we didn't even need him. That game was just a draft statement for Hill. 216 yards against a top ten D.

Did you say the same thing about Alabama when McCarron through 2 interceptions and was 2-10 on 3rd down in his first collegiate start in the 2011 season opener vs. a KENT STATE team that lost 6 of their first 7?

Coker is set to arrive in May. So he will have several months to get acclimated. Not just 3 weeks

He still can't get reps with the team and supervised by the coaching staff until fall camp starts in August.

It was a mundane performance no doubt but the optimism isn't about Jennings so much as it's about Cameron. With Jennings, Rettig and Harris, then spring and summer practice, one of these guys will get the nod. The expectation is that the QB play will improve as season goes on. If we can get by Wisconsin and MSU, which I believe we can, then the first 'big' game (according to preseason polls) will be AU which is game #6, October 4. If the O is going to click, it should be clicking by then.

I don't get why Coker is the favorite. Even in garbage time after the other team had bent all the way over, he was not good.

I saw on espn(i think) that Coker was a sleeper for impact QB in the SEC.

Having never seen him play significant snaps in college, I found it ridiculous

Considering one will have Cam Cameron, and one will have the kiss of death coaching them.
