Sure. Just wondering why they think they are invincible. If you want to just say mental illness, it would be hard to fault you.

I would like to argue with you, but unfortunately I cannot. In my opinion, that is plain trashy. But I will get someone on here in a second telling me there is nothing wrong with it.

Problem is, there are words, and then there are actions. Bama fan seems to be pretty big on actions.

I guess you could say that the lunatics have a low sense of self worth and need to cling to something to prop that up. allowing them to live in a distorted reality where they think they mean something

The mere fact that you think that "we just beat the hell out of you" is even in the same stratosphere as "suck that tiger dick bitch" just reinforces how damned classless you really are.

You forgot about the dumbass bama fan who punched Mett in the face and yelled "roll tide"

Dude was even from Tennessee

They're really a pathetic fan base when you think about the sheer amount of bandwagon fans from either today's times, and how many people are fans now because their parents jumped on the bandwagon in the Bryant era.

NFL fans are much worse but it's not fun to troll them.

My thoughts are that whave a very few extremely crazy fans. Overall our fan base is relatively calm and sane, ie we don't do crazy things en masse like tear up and burn property and haul goalposts through the streets without regard to who may get hurt. Personally, while I am not happy with the few crazy fans, as a whole I prefer our fanbase with the very few crazies to other fan bases who react with riots

I understand that you are trying to justify what Bama people do, but your argument is unavailing. For one, LSU as an institution actively tries to stop that chant. Alabama's band actively leads its fans to do that. Secondly, this type of argument is exactly what we always get from Bama fans.

Updyke was justified because Auburn put a Cam jersey in front of the Bear and allegedly rolled the corner when he died (we all know that the second thing is false and made up when his bacon was on the line).

The Bama construction worker was justified because A&M dared win at Brian Dennehy stadium.

The teabagger was justified because NATIONAL TITLE YEE HAW.

The crazy OU kicker was justified because you don't disrespect Bama by cheering for your team near her.

Of course you would try and justify this behavior by pointing to something else that was a slight or wrong. Proportion is what you don't understand, though.

I'd like to argue with you too but I can't excuse what lunatic fans do. That lady was clearly off her meds.

FWIW, the story I heard is that those OU fans were messing with her kid. Bama fan or not, there are a lot of mothers that would come unhinged over that.

Lol

Because someone from Alabama knows all about crazy Oakland/Philly fans?

I've lived in New Orleans, Nashville, Minneapolis and traveled to nearly every major city.

I've never come across I any fan of any sport that is as irrational and delusional as some of the bama fans that I personally know.

Pretty much the same I heard. Both groups were running their mouths and the kid (fifteen or sixteen or so) started jawing and they started jawing back. I blame this on beta husband/dad that stood by and let it unfold.

Before...

And then...

One is played by the University band and the school endorses it. One was outlawed by the University because they thought it was tasteless. Game Over

We're talking about fans not universities. I'm almost certain that UA didn't put Updyke or the teabagger up to it.

Why would you think equating any of the things this thread is actually talking about to a chant is appropriate?

Please compare for everyone all ways in which you believe a chant, any chant for that matter, is similar to putting your genitals on a stranger's face, killing a landmark tree, fighting people at a bowl game for cheering, putting your baby with 8 guns for a photo op, getting a back sized tattoo of Bear Bryant, vandalizing a University, killing a human being for not being sad enough about a loss, etc. If you go through that exercise without seeing how stupid what you are arguing is, you're probably one of the Bama fans we're talking about in this thread.
