Why do you think that there's a specific response relative to the age of the person saying 'Roll Tide' or 'War Eagle?'

Here's your response, "I don't think I'll ever get used to a grown man talking smack to another grown man regarding a group of 18ish year old mostly black and certainly younger guys that he vicariously lives through."
The response will take a few seconds, but he will definitely walk away questioning his life choices...or it will just fuel him to tea-bag the next passed out LSU fan he sees even harder than originally planned.

I've had this happen to me 3 times in downtown Nashville by bama hicks taking their yearly vacation to the "big city"
I think one time I yelled back "ah, the white trash mating call" other time I said "frick you" as we passed on the stairs, and I think I just ignored the 3rd time.
I just can't imagine yelling Go Big Orange at someone because they're wearing another team's colors.

It really depends. I've had people say roll tide to me, and it was obviously a light hearted jab. Give them a War Eagle back, and more often than not we end up having a nice conversation.
On the other hand, I've had people scream "ROW TAAHDD" in my face. Those conversations usually arent with alum, or people with any discernable skills and never go nearly as smooth.
