He has since he has been coach at Alabama, but that doesn't mean he will always go with the veteran.

JPW, Mcelroy, and McCarron were all obvious choices, and if you want my opinion, Sims was an obvious choice too.

Last year it was little bit more of a tossup, but Coker proved to be a the absolutely correct decision in end.

I think that it has just worked out that way, up to this point.

Of course you knew it. Don't try to be all "cool"

I don't do Facebook/Twitter so no wonder I didn't know.

Typically, yes, but with Kiffin I think he'll go with the QB who can stretch the defense.

If Bateman's arm strength hasn't improved, Cornwell might get the call, or Barnett thanks to his extra time in the system.

Same thing I put elsewhere. This is where it is now.

Barnett has a ton of work to do. The three people whom I know personally that watched him and me once at the scrimmage ( not ADAY) all saw the same thing " hot slaw". He floats passes, passes into coverage all the time, struggles on cross field throws. Sure he can throw it 70 yards with no equipment and no rushing lineman. So can Cornwell, and Hurts, and almost Bateman.

On to Bateman, he really is like one step away from being good but I don't know if he can fix his long ball. It is quite honestly one of the worst I've seen. He also lacks confidence, he won't run much, he hesitates etc. Maybe he can be fixed not sure.

Cornwell, well he is a pro style guy and has a nice arm. Problem is he is slow, like really slow but not just with his feet either. I've seen him make some real head scratches. If we had a solid OLINE for sure no questions he would be a total go.

Hurts, probably the best fresh talent we have had in a long time. Not just the Barnett I won the elite 11 which means nothing stuff. He is very athletic, looks down field, makes solid throws and can scramble like a mad man. If he already had a bama year it would be no question at all. But as we are in this situation it's hard to say.

All n all the staff will go to the power point percentage meeting. This is where they show who gives them the best chance to win. Lane will do his best to develop whomever they think is the guy.

Does Bama still have that white receiver who came out of nowhere? Good possession guy. I can't remember his name

Gherig Dieter is his name, I believe? He is from Bowling Green. Saban was recruiting him when he was scouting for the TN game last year. He's a great receiver and a great get for Saban thanks to him being graduated as of May.

Barnett, 19, just got engaged to some 17 yr old surfer chick... So clearly he's a good decision maker and should start
shes 18 and a professional surfer, like the 3rd best female surfer, sounds like a pretty good decision to me

Barnett by far looked the best in the spring game to me. Hurts got away with some stuff and his numbers looked better than he played. Neither of them had tim williams, ryan anderson, jon allen, and dalvin tomlinson destroying every play before it started, so its hard to really judge

See, I didn't think this at all. Barnett looked decent in some aspects, but to say that he was "by far" the best looking is erroneous.

I don't understand this. What does this mean?

Nobody really knows right now. Of course most of think it will be Bateman and most of us wish it was going to be Hurts. I know we can win a championship with a ball control, down hill running game but with OJ Howard and the nation's best group of receivers this is the year that our quarterback needs to air it out.

I am not being cocky. I think most people would agree that we have the best. You guys probably have the second best group in the SEC yourselves.

Hell, everybody needs a little, slow white guy at WR that catches everything thrown his way. LOL...
