Barnett, 19, just got engaged to some 17 yr old surfer chick... So clearly he's a good decision maker and should start

Maybe he should have a secret 2nd family across town all while portraying himself as being something he's not, like your hero Rush.

Barnett is a 19 year old kid. He either is in love and truly wants to marry her, or perhaps there is another motive for the proposal. Either way, the fact that he's trying to marry instead of how most college kids today handle relationships - including on your campus and mine - doesn't really speak negatively to his decision making in general, and certainly has no bearing on his decision making on the field. But by all means, please continue to flame on.

I agree. If you told me all of our QBs were in serious relationships and weren't going out looking for different tail every week, I would be pretty happy. I'm assuming any football player at Bama, like any SEC school, is going to be attracting a lot of attention from coeds so give me the guy who is engaged and at his house studying game film.

On a side note, not sure if she just looks good in that picture, but props to Barnett for pulling a girl like that. Definitely out kicked his coverage.

I think most people would agree that we have the best. You guys probably have the second best group in the SEC yourselves.

I wouldn't trade our receivers for yours. And I'd bet straight up that the NFL says we have the best of the bunch in Malachi Dupre.

Now, what are the odds we can get them the ball???

I think we all are happy that Brandon Harris is your QB and Les likes smash mouth football. I really like Dupre, he is a beast.

Dupre is great, but ill take Ridley over all of them anyday. He is a game changer.

Probably a close call between Dupre and Ridley. Ridley will almost certainly be a three year player and in the 2018 draft. Will Dupre be a 2017 draftee - he will be eligible correct?

I don't blame you, and Alabama fans likely feel the same way. Both squads are really good at that position so you stick with your guys.

It's just too bad they don't use them (with the exception of 2013).

bateman will start agains usc ... cornwell will get some time in the game, imo ... most are giving up on cornwell, but i like his chances to start this year more than bb or jh ... in fact, bb is more likely to be the transfer since his fiance is a top surfer who lives in cali ...

2016 depth chart Bateman-Saban ALWAYS goes with the veteran Barnwell Cornwell-tranfers after season Redshirt- Hurts What will be interesting is how Hurts and the Hawaiian, cant say his name, battle it out in 2018.

BINGO!
This. Exactly.
All of this
(Except: if Bateman struggles
Early and one of the others, specifically Cornwell as a dark horse comes on strong I. The fall and replaces him by the third game. In other words, who the hell knows?)

See, I didn't think this at all. Barnett looked decent in some aspects, but to say that he was "by far" the best looking is erroneous.
go watch it again, hes the only qb making reads and going through progressions (the 1st team guys had no time), made some really nice throws into tight windows with great accuracy and arm strength, and he moved the team every time he was in. Also, its just my opinion that he looked the best by far, so frick off with your erroneous.

Hurts got away with some stuff and his numbers looked better than he played.

I don't understand this. What does this mean?
it means hurts made some pretty poor throws that either luck or the reciever turned into a good gain. People freaked out because he made that nice td pass (was a better catch than pass tho), but like 2 plays before he throws a surefire pick that cam sims somehow comes down with. Not saying hurts doesnt look promising, especially for a true freshman, but i seriously doubt he starts before barnett, who is kiffins guy.

Honestly, if Cooper Bateman proves to be a disaster, I bet Jalen gets a serious look.

I think you're spot on. Barnett looked like the best QB to me on A-day. Hurts has a promising future, but I think Barnett starts at least a couple of years while Hurts waits.

I'm sure its going to be a logjam clusterfrick regardless of who eventually is named starter, like 40 people in an elevator.

Not a troll but who are the other bama wr's outside of Ridley and Howard at TE? I watched a ton of bama games last year and mullaney was the only other WR I remember catching my attention. This is probably because Ridley was so eye popping he took my attention away from other wr's. And I know about the transfer but I think you have to take a wait and see approach with him, not saying he isn't good but that is a big transition.
