What insight do we have on the QB situation at Bama?

I have a weird feeling that Bateman is gonna be really good, but my heart wants Barnett.

Why

b/c Bateman played tentative in his first start against Ole Miss and he assumes that one year later that will be the case again.

Bateman did look shaky in that game, but who wouldn't in that situation? I've read that Bateman has a lot of confidence this offseason, and not to mention probably one of the best receiving cores Bama has ever assembled.

Does Bama still have that white receiver who came out of nowhere? Good possession guy. I can't remember his name

Saban isn't going to say much until August. Bateman is obviously the front runner. But I just don't think he looks comfortable in the pocket or throwing mid to deep passes.

It's a damn good thing our skill players are great, otherwise it might be a weak year offensively.

Last night I actually rewatched most of the OM Bama game from last year, and the disparity between Bateman's play and Coker's play was pretty big. Besides the picks, Coker played an excellent game. But I have little faith in Bateman throwing any kind of accurate ball down field.

Also, I forgot how good our defense played that game relative to how many points OM put up. Sucked that our offense and special teams put them in such bad situations literally all game.

No. Mullaney is gone. But we have a new transfer that ripped Tennessee apart last year, Gehrig Dieter. The dude looks great.

Mullaney is gone, but Dieter will be playing this year and he's probably better. It's really gonna be a passing year for Bama I think.

I honestly hope it's Jalen, I know it's little possibility but he set us up for next few years our Wrs and RBs with Oline come back in 2017.

Jalen is going to be a breath of fresh air for our offense in 2 or 3 years. I don't see how he gets in there with so much talent ahead of him.

I agree. I feel kind of foolish holding such an opinion, but Hurts just looked so smooth in the spring game. Seems to be a lot of possibilities with him at the helm, and possibilities are exciting.

I would much rather us groom Barnett or Hurts. I have zero faith in Bateman's deep ball.

Barnett, 19, just got engaged to some 17 yr old surfer chick... So clearly he's a good decision maker and should start

How do you know this shite?

I couldn't tell you one thing about the personal life of even one Bama player, mainly because IDGAS about their personal lives.

2016 depth chart

Bateman-Saban ALWAYS goes with the veteran
Barnwell
Cornwell-tranfers after season

Redshirt- Hurts

What will be interesting is how Hurts and the Hawaiian, cant say his name, battle it out in 2018.
