All you need is about 20..."run-well"...individuals. You still have to find about 30-40 individuals who...um...eat well.

I'm just saying Arkansas having one "major (sports) university" isn't a good comparison with Mississippi in that regard. Mississippi produces more D1 talent than Arkansas consistently.

And are you really comparing a state with 25 million people with a state of 3 million people?

CMAAAAAAAAAN...... Don't be silly.

What's your excuse for having so few Arkansans on your baseball team compared to the instate talent of the other SEC teams?

What I was saying is that at some point, percentages don't matter. Can three (don't forget So. Miss) D-1 Mississippi programs get SEC quality talent each year? They have proven that they can. What they do with that talent is the problem.

We hate Arkansas kids?

We are fortunately a national program and so we recruit nationally.

The top dozen or so prospects in Mississippi are always SEC caliber. It's the inability to get kids, beyond those dozen, qualified. The numbers of NFL prospects from Mississippi are also skewed because of the JuCo system. Many of those are sign and place kids that go elsewhere to play their college ball. You also see sub-par high school coaching in much of the state.

Care to explain Arkanas' success in Track and Field then? What about basketball (that requires ...those who run and jump well)?

Very few come from Arkansas. Special Olympians have better times and distances than track athletes in Arkansas.

I want to know what the numbers look like for Mississippi without using JuCos.

Why does this even matter. The NFL doesn't want fricking brain surgeons. They want stupid football players. U mad we're 2 and you are 5?

And to your baseball question, I'd add that there is a demographic angle there, too. Very few of the best high school athletes in Arkansas focus on baseball. Its become a white sport in college, and Arkansas white kids still play football first and foremost.

Y'all can laugh at me all you want for saying this but the best coaches in the state are at the private school level IMO. Then obviously all the talent is at the public school level.

Alabama would get worse because the MS players would probably stay in MS.

You completely missed the point. The JuCo system is largely being used as sign-and-place for out-of-state programs. They didn't play their high school football in Mississippi, nor did they sign with an in-state institution. I'm trying to see the exact numbers for what Mississippi produces.

yesterday you posted that the hogs have benefited from the east being down. 4 or more hog fans laughed and/or asked you to explain yourself yet you didn't. would you care to now or are you going to just wait and post something else stupid tomorrow?

Alabama has maybe four scholarshipped players from the state of Mississippi. It hasn't been a priority under Nick Saban, as it was under Mike Shula or any other predecessors.
