It seems like their GOAT coach's 2011 DWI got more press than their miracle 12-2 season last year. Will they ever do something meaningful and fit in to the SEC?
So far as I can tell, their best conference win since joining the SEC is a toss up between a blow out win @ Vandy last year or last year's home win over A&M.

I don't get the obsession with "little ole Mizzou," much less the hate. If we're a program of such little consequence, why sweat the success we're able to eke out? What do you expect our players to do? Go out and lose in order to preserve the old guard's perception of itself?
That's not going to happen, and we're never going to apologize for taking whatever we can get. Deal with it.
Missouri is definitely more Midwest than South, but we love our football just the same as you guys. We were thrilled to escape the Bevo 12 and join such a storied conference. We are also eager to do our part by way of exciting games, increased viewership and bowl game wins. We know the Indiana loss was a huge let down for the conference and we feel awful about it. Nevertheless, come to Columbia for a game and you will be welcomed and shown a good time. Of that I am sure.
What about some of you? When will your much ballyhooed Southern hospitality make itself known on this board? When will the venom go away? Especially among the West fans?
It's a shame, because I think you guys have a lot to offer. Mizzou fans want to know about your schools and your teams. That's exactly why I signed up for this board. I hope that - someday - you will get around to telling us rather than wasting time slamming a program that's not going to take over the world anytime soon.

Missouri is not a powerhouse, but compared to the other newbies…for all the shite A&M fans have talked about their imaginary potential and wallet that are as real as a Unicorn, Missouri has BY FAR accomplished more.
Not only in the SEC, but was it '07 they reached their Conference championship ranked #1 or #2 in position to play for it all? A&M has never even sniffed a position like that.

Maybe so. It's difficult for me to understand, especially as it relates to the West fans, given that Mizzou is in the East.
They alternate between heaping scorn on the East for being the weaker division and raging over the fact that Mizzou is exploiting that situation. Crazy...

They dislike Mizzou because its new and to many fans of the SEC anything new is suspected of communism for at least 50 years or so.
Making the SECCG in your second year is impressive, it took Arkansas till our third year to get in. Making that game, when you did, allows you certain bragging rights over other schools. Much like we can hold the fact we got into the Championship game much sooner then USC Mizzou can now sit back and enjoy the knowledge that for years to come you can troll the Aggies that you got there first.
You can also sneer at Ole Miss for never having gone. Sneering at Vandy is a social faux pas and Kentucky won't bother to read any taunts directed to their football team because they will be gearing up for another title run in basketball, so you are pretty well limited to taunting the RebelBlackBears.
Enjoy your stay in the SEC and remember, if you weren't doing something right, then they wouldn't be constantly talking about how they ignore you. Its sort of like a five year old throwing rocks at a pretty girl to express affection.
