Wow know your history jackass

1) Don Faurot was one of the most innovative coaches in football history. While coaching Mizzou he invented the Option.

2) One of the top programs during the 60's, Dan Devine is a College Football Hall of Famer not just for his coaching at Norte Dame

3) Claim 1960 National Title ala Bama style

Now Ole Miss and MSU fans cannot cry " The East is down and they suck" The West was down and out in the 90's and you two never got to the SECCG.

um, Miss State definitely did. They played Tennessee in the SECCG in 1998. At least do a little research before spewing ignorance

Also, let me just say that I get quite a bit of joy out of the amount of good ole boy jimmies that Mizzou constantly rustles.

Every time I see a thread like this, I smile.

According to the polling system we did.

With some of the national titles some of you his claim, I don't want to hear about it.

Will they ever do something meaningful and fit in to the SEC?

Fit into the SEC. Going to ATL is fitting in just right. There's been SEC East teams that's never been to Atlanta. Sheesh what does Mizzou have to do to fit in, win the SEC???

When we do, it will just be the SEC was down that year, we cheated, fluke etc etc

The good ole boys of da souf will never accept us and that's just the way it is. Oh well

Probably this. Have they really added to value in TV contracts? Sure, lots of eyeballs in MO but aren't most of those pro eyeballs?

Yes they added value. Last season they were ranked #8 in the Nation and #6th in SEC in viewers. That's with bad time slots.lol. Yes Mizzou brought some viewers for a school that's not a football power. #8 in the Nation is damn good.

I've never even heard of the poll that awarded you 1960, and your school doesn't even claim it either to my knowledge. And LSu doesn't claim any "bogus" national title, regardless, (LSU doesn't even claim one recognized by the NCAA) so I have no problem calling it BS

"We were really horsewhipped. We had a lousy defense. We did not expect anyone to run down the field on us like they did, like they were playing a barber college. They toyed with us like children....They beat us every way known to man. They out-everythinged us. We were really fortunate. The Tigers deserved to beat us by more points than they did." - Crimson Tide coach Bear Bryant after his Alabama team was thrashed 35-10 by Mizzou in 1968, the worst loss for Bryant in his 11 year Alabama career to that date.

"All in all, it was a good ol' country beating. I think we were fortunate not to be beaten worse." - Bear Bryant after his Alabama Crimson Tide were yet again prison raped by Mizzou in 1975, plummeting to a 20-0 halftime deficit in Birmingham on their way to a 20-7 loss to mighty Mizzou.

Out of all SEC schools except Vandy....Mizzou probably take their academics in regards to athletes more seriously. Any ol recruit won't get into Mizzou like they do at Bama, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss State. Hell Bama actually got a player in that LSU didn't want because of academics. Bama pulled strings to get him in.

And we all know about Ole Miss' "Mr Blind Side". That brotha got into Ole Miss and was dumb as hell. Wonder how many other athletes they hooked up because they are good football players. Mizzou not pulling any strings to get people in. Something I can respect. No wonder they are towards the top in the APR rankings. They've led the Big 12 and the SEC in APR for football. Respect right there. Doing things the right way.

Don't worry about being accepted, don't care, all I know is we's causing mucho grief for many SEC fans. It's gonna be sweeeeeet on the day that MIZZOU hoists that conference trophy up and says "How do ya like us now!".

Ole Miss has been saying that since 1963, Kentucky since 1976, State since 1941, and Arkansas, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt since always. They don't call it the big 6 for nothing
