All I have to say about the current state of Mississippi State basketball is this: Craig Sword can be as good as he wants to be.
He has gone for 27 and 19 against us this season.
Like I said last night, if Craig Sword played every game like he was playing Ole Miss, he'd be a first round pick.

So your point is??????
My point is every time Ole Miss gets hyped up about something, they choke. That was pretty much it.

I still say you guys should've looked at UK's Kenny Payne. He's a Mississippi guy and even considered Southern Miss knowing the violations they'd potentially be dealing with post-Tyndall.
I just don't think it was so devoid of interest that only Rick Ray was interested.
I would've liked to have taken a shot with him. I think we could've found some better candidates if we dug a little deeper. Saying that.... I was appalled we hired Rick Ray when we did. But after actual research I began to think he wouldn't be too bad of a hire. I still don't think we've seen all he is capable of as a coach. But he definitely isn't doing what needs to be done to make ppl think he can do any better.

The shite that went on under Stansbury is why we couldn't hire anyone. No one wanted this job when we let him go. I worked with the program Ray's first year. It was definitely a mess left by Stans.
Do you know if a renovation of The Hump is being planned? It would seem like the next thing on State's agenda, after DNF is done.

I'm honestly not sure. I graduated in May and stay busy with work so I don't make it over a lot. But I think I remember reading that eventually there would be new work done on it after they finish up DNF.

We're looking at '17 or '18 with finishing the new Dudy Noble. DWS renovations are probably done for the short term after they renovate the east side bathrooms and concession. I'm sure a Hump renovation is close behind, and I bet it hinges much on the success of basketball over the next few seasons.

Mississippi State should merge with Alcorn State. It's the only way.
