He'll probably pull a "Saban" and make people think hes leaving but, he wont. He's been working to hard to make State a contender and he won't leave it all to start again at another failed program IE: Florida.

Msst has always had a good defense but never a QB, they get one and they're doing well 6 games in, once he leaves I think its back to 4-6 in the west and Liberty/Gator/Music City bowls.

He gone.

Bigger budget.
Bigger upside to be a powerhouse year in and year out.
Flagship school in a state that produces the best fb talent in the country.

I don't think it's a no brainer however. He's proven you can recruit and win at MSU. The problem is sustainability. Can Mullen keep winning at the highest level. History suggests, his team falls back to the 7 - 8 win season with the occasional great year.

On the other hand, UF fans want to win YESTERDAY and would likely have no patience if it took him a few years to build the program as it did at MSU.

He can recruit far better and have a chance at sustained success. Mullen isn't so great a coach that he can sustain succes at Miss st and it's been proven by his record.at Miss st against the west powerhouses. His record against Lsu bama and auburn is atrocious

For one of the few times ever MSU has a better football team this year.

By any other measure:

All you did was just give a bunch of reasons that he will stay at MSU. You are probably too dumb to realize that though.

"He can't win at MSU" - a great reason to bust arse and win at MSU.

"He can't sustain success at MSU" - great reason to stay motivated and on task.

The best don't prove they are the best by winning a few games in Gainesville.

Florida: More Money, More Expectations

MSU: Less Money, Fans Love You

I know there are more pros and cons but I just know that Florida is one of those programs that isn't happy just becoming bowl eligible. Dan has breathed life back into a stagnant fanbase at MSU and could go out there as a legend.

Historical finishes for Mississippi St in the SEC W:

2013: 5th out of 7
2012: 4th
2011: 5th out of 6
2010: 5th
2009: 6th
2008: 6th
2007: 4th
2006: 6th
2005: 6th
2004: 6th
2003: 6th
2002: 6th

Florida has more upside. The east sucks. Easily rise to the top there and own it for a long time. Lots of recruits in Florida and Georgia to grab and build a program fast.

I was being serious. I have expectations out of him at State and he has proven those and built a program there that I'm proud of.

He may decide to stay at State, but it will not be for money or recruiting advantages or resources in the program, if the Gators come calling. Plain and simple. Enjoy your year, you guys have some teams that can beat you ahead on the schedule. Worry about that.

The cool deal is that the Grinders could go 14-1 and lose the NC game, and be happy campers. Throw the Grinders a parade, and going on about how it was your best year in history(it would be easily). While at Bama, UF, LSU, Aub. and GA that would have their fan bases pissed off for two weeks to 2 years at least.

Nothing. All jobs are inferior to Head FB coach in Starkville.
