Why would it take away from the offense? Gus was just showing that gimmick play running fat bastard what a real gimmick play looked like. I think it was his way of saying you should run this one next before your bag of tricks is empty.

That is absolute PURE bullshite. Auburn lost the 2009 IB because.......on the last drive bama, ran pick play after pick play. One play had two separate picks. That is why an extremely undermanned Auburn team lost to bama with less than two minutes to go in the game.
