His damage to the Irish was a good thing for the SEC.

For some reason, UT thought that hiring a guy who didn't even have a winning record at the lower levels of football would equate to big winning in the SEC. They were wrong.

Hey, the Chiz won an NC. Granted, he kinda lucked into it, but still, if Mr. 5&19 could win....

Chizik. The guy won a BCSNC but tanked our program in the process...

No he didn't actually. He's a terrible coach, that's not in question, but he -- or at least assistants like Trooper and co. -- managed to keep recruiting decent talent. He just didn't know what to do with it most of the time. Auburn got off lucky compared to a program like Tennessee. And having that recent BCSNC is a helluva recruiting tool, as Bama can attest.

He most certainly tanked the program...How do you go from first to worst in two seasons when you are recruiting lights out????

It's amazing how Croom's one decent season in 2007 and beating Bama back to back help keep him off of some people's "worst of" lists.

Personally I can't forget (because I was there for every minute) the LSU games, THE MAINE, losing at home to a homeless Tulane, and 45-0 Ole Miss.

Dooley is the worst football coach Tennessee has ever had and it's not close or debatable.

Mike Shula isn't even close to the worst. He kind of muddled along under adverse circumstances but the program wasn't the football equivalent of Mogadishu like some other programs.

Coach O - everyone knew this was a joke and would crash and burn
