10%

None. They can't beat LSU and Alabama has a boner for them in spite of the rest of their schedule having losses all through it. Auburn's headed for the peach bowl at best.
Good job on not knowing what in the holy frick you are talking about.
Anyways, I don't think there is much of a chance. I would never say )% but 15% would be gracious imo. The talent just isn't there yet. I think he has has done a good job moving pieces around so far but we are still 2+ years out.

Probably better than our chances.
AU is going to be rolling with Pearl.
In a year or two, they'll be in the Sweet 16.
They had the guts to pay for a new arena and
get a real B-Ball coach. It'll pay off.

I don't think it will take him that long.
Plus Under Amour was sort seen as a negative when he took the job they have recently shown they are willing to throw some huge money around to land a guy like Kevin Durant, which should help a lot.

It's nice and new.
You're not really going to fill a 15-20K
arena game after game in football country.
Like at Alabama, we polished a turd that
was built in the 60's and it holds around 15k
and is usually quiet and mostly empty.

I'm just skeptical about AU BB because of years of torment. I have complete faith in Pearl. I just think it will take a couple of years to be back in the thick of things. It is going to be fun to watch though!
ETA: I agree Under Armour has done things to gain ground but it does still hurt us a bit to have them. Just not as bad as before. I have just heard so much about the quality of their shoes but I have never worn them so...

It's not as much about quality but more about connections.
If you've noticed the big time draft picks out of Kansas (Adidas school), Wiggins and Embiid, just signed with Adidas.
Julius Randle who played at Kentucky (Nike school) signed with Nike.
Then you look who sponsored their AAU team and it was most likely Adidas or Nike

Our Arena seats 18k and we filled it a few years ago when we only had NIT quality teams. Arkansas and Tennessee constantly fill their 20k+ arenas also.

Pretty much zero
Need some bigs.

Tenn has no chance. Going to be a major rebuilding year for them.
I'd throw Ole Miss and Bama in with your possible tourney teams. Both have good mixes of vets and newcomers.

In Alabama if the football teams are average
and basketball is making NCAA's every year
we fill the arenas. In the early 2000's Bama was
really good in b-ball and football was shite.
Once the roles reverse, and football is back
in shape, b-ball isn't a big deal.
More often than not, a 9K arena in Alabama is
about perfect. We need a 15K arena for gymnastics not basketball.

I mean I know its not so much about the quality as the connections and brand but it doesn't help to hear things about the fit and quality. i do like Under Armour and appreciate the fact that they have taken big strides to please their clients (especially not changing our classic look ) but I can't help but feel we are at a slight disadvantage using them. I may be over analyzing the situation. Adidas has a strong rep in CBB and the NBA. Under Armour is the new man in town. Hell I remember Kobe with Adidas out of the gate.
Side note...please god, let Randle help the Lakers this year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two weeks to sec football and your wanting our opinion on auburn basketball?
Posted on 8/15/14 at 7:29 am to LSULyle00690
Not good.
Pearl is a great, great coach. I still can't believe he went to AU. But let's be real, they're still facing a pretty uphill climb.

NIT is a more realistic goal. That would be huge for Auburn. Auburns last NCAA bid was 2003. SEC is not respected, playing a killer schedule. Give it one more year for a NCAA bid.

I genuinely don't know, so I'm asking the aubs seriously...is this picture shopped, or do they seats really exist?
