How far is Gus's from Beale St? Will all these popular places be packed all the time, or will we catch a break if we go at off hours like 3 or 4?

There happens to one on Beale.... well since there is a bowl game it might be packed, but no they aren't always packed.

nice, thanks. I'm going to read through this whole thread later, but right now I can't get all the different resaurants straight. I know rendezvous is the famous ribs, Gus's is the chicken place? If I go to another bbq joint (interstate or neely's or whatever) should I get anything in particular or will just a bbq plate be good? I love bbq, but I know that I have to get the ribs at Rv just because that's what you're supposed to do.
