I mean I really don't care that much, obviously it's meaningless.. Forget I even said anything..

but you are. Are you really this salty over the difference between 2 and 3? The great thing about baseball is if you are the best it will show by the end of the season.
I'm seriously not upset. I would be asking the same question if LSU were in this situation.

That's cool. Miami has nearly as many, and hasn't won series against OM, @Vandy, and @UF. It doesn't bother me that we are behind UF, it's just pretty dumb that we are and yet Miami isn't. You can make the case for Miami 1 and us 2, or even UF retaining #1, but if you have UF ahead of us I think you have to have them ahead of Miami as well.
Guess it doesn't really matter. Take care of business against A&M this week and it will be unanimous next week.

Miss St should be the consensus #2 team this week with series wins at Vanderbilt & Florida, no doubt about it.

4 is "nearly" 9?

And UF won 2 of 3 at consensus #1 Miami earlier in the season. That's baseball
State has an amazing resume. Wouldn't sweat it too much. Honest opinions can differ and I don't think at the end of the day it will matter at all.
SEC is looking like a 3 national seed conference (just can't see more than that) and State is well positioned to finish top 3 as the back half of y'alls schedule is much easier

Honestly I was looking at 25 wins vs 23, so that's my bad. But the point stands, State took 2 of 3 @UF. UF took 2 of 3 from Miami. State > UF > Miami seems logical, with the only real argument being that UF has been dominant enough otherwise that you could jump them to the front of that pyramid.

It's the nine losses. Should vandy be ranked ahead of Carolina simply because they beat us 2-1 in a series?

But I do think the SEC is a mine field of pretty good, Top Ten Teams.
This is so true. It's great to be towards the top at this point in time, but there's a lot of season left, and aside from Auburn and Arkansas, every conference series will probably be highly contested.
Grow, develop, and try to get hot by the time post-season comes around.

We aren't the second best team in America. Nor the third. We are a solid regional host that is trying to play their way into a national seed conversation. The RPI is 14th. We are probably trending just ahead of that.
We don't have a third weekend starter. It worked yesterday and that's promising, but I'm not sure it would work again.
However, polls are like women. Extremely emotional. We have some sexy series wins that cover up deficiencies that resulted in losses to Eastern Kentucky and Oral Roberts. As long as we keep winning two out of three every weekend in the SEC, we'll be in the top 5.

We're not sweating it lol. We're simply challenging the reputability of a baseball poll..

If it was @SC, probably. Vandy has already Played SC, State, and LSU off the top of my head. You can't just compare conference records straight up, have to look at who they've played.

Dude this is complete bullshite. I am not claiming MSU is the second best team in the land or anything, but it's not like our Sunday guys went out there yesterday and got lucky. They pretty much dominated that game against a no doubt top 3 or 4 team in the nation.
ETA: our bullpen and Sunday pitchers are freshmen. Highly touted at that. It's difficult for pitchers fresh out of high school to jump into SEC play. One has to believe there's a learning curve.

If I were picking national seeds right now, it would go a little something like this.
1. Florida
2. Miami
3. South Carolina
4. Florida State
5. Mississippi State
6. Texas Tech
7. Louisville
8. ????
Other regional hosts:
Ole Miss, UCSB, Clemson, Vanderbilt, South Alabama, North Carolina, Michigan State, College of Charleston, Southern Mississippi/Rice/FAU C-USA Champion.
LSU is going to be a 2 seed at Stanky Field.
