Dak is a warrior and will make some plays but not enough to offset the steady ground attack of LSU. The Tigers will own the 4th quarter this year, week in and week out. The quarter backs will be somewhat improved but the biggest improvement will be by all those sophomore receivers who fought the learning curve a year ago. They're strong enough to win some of those downfield battles they lost as freshmen. As for the trenches, that's where the Tigers will have their biggest advantage, with quality depth established throughout the 2-deep; something that was lacking a year ago, even though the team was amongst the SEC leaders in rushing and lead the league in total defense. They will be better. Certainly good enough to defeat the Bulldogs.

It's April and you just gave a quarter by quarter and position by position prediction. Pump the breaks.

You're right but you see when your team has a qb competition the spring game is the best chance the fans get to see the qbs go head to head on a level playing field during the off season. Both improved a ton since last season so in some indication, yes the spring game matters
Didn't Harris have a pretty good spring game last year? Like 250+ yards passing & rushing and 4 total TDs?

Yeah but his problem was more about poise and understanding the playbook in its entirety. He's come out this spring and said now he can go out there and just play without having to think, so I guess he's catching on. His physical arm strength and accuracy was always there.

Jealous of what? We had the best defense in the nation and went to a Big 6 bowl game. Got drubbed in it but at least we went.

I'm jealous of Bama, I guess...

I like State's chances to stop Lsu's run game. We will still have size in our front 7. It's hard to wear out a defense going 3 and out. If LSU is one dimensional it will be hard for them to win. Our offense will be really good. Historically MSU always has a good RB. This year will be no different. Our receiving corp will be a lot better than last year.I'm predicting top 5 in SEC. We do lose players on OL however, the backups are older and have been in the system for a while. Dak being a senior, making quick decisions, and making sure everyone is on the same page with blitzes etc. will help a lot also. I understand everyone doubting State this yr. Everytime we have had a really big year in football, the next year we would fall back to the bottom of the conference. I just think when you have a player like Dak to go along with an above average defense. You are going to be in every game that you play, winning most of those games.

Damn, where'd it go during the Auburn game?

3/14, 58 yards, 21.4%, 0 TD, 0 INT, 56.2 QBR

We return 2 starters on the OL- but 4 of our 5 for 2015 have actually made starts. 8 of the 2-deep are 3rd year or older. We have more talent on OL than we have had since Mullen got there

We will be better overall at RB than last year. JR was a good player- but we have more right behind him at RB. shite, Perkins is the worst starter we have had in the last 10 year and he damn near went for 1,000

Yeah, we said that too last year and it didn't work out to well for us. We have a little bit more experience in evaluating the effect of losing experience and how it really does make a difference. You can convince yourself that it doesn't but I will make a bet with you that it will be noticeable. Especially in QB pressure. Last year we didn't get to Dak very much but this year I can safely say we will be a lot more effective on DLine.

Is this where LSU fans delude themselves into thinking they'll field a team worth a shite in '15? I think WVU is still scoring on Steele

I'll be going with 4 other bros from Dallas RVing to this game. Really hope LSU wins, pretty sure we will. Then I can hit the town and give them saddened mississippi girls the time of their life, they'll forget all about the game. What time do the bars close on Saturdays in starkville?
