These people are stupid. They aren't giving this the normal level of scrutiny any thinking person would give it because it could potentially be bad for Alabama (even though that's a stretch even if it's 100% true and nefarious).

As I said, it's interesting to see the hypocrisy.

You aren’t a very good song writer. Instead, let’s try:
Jangalang’s a little bitch,
On his knee’s over in a ditch,
Sucking dick at a Love’s truck stop,
Just gnawin’ on it like an old porkchop.
For a few quarters extra he’ll do even more,
He learned his trade from a first rate whore.
He used to ask her “mama who’s my dad?”,
She’d just answer “he was real bad.”
Then one day he was watching his Tigers,
Once again get trounced by Tidal rivals,
They zoomed in close on good brother Freeze,
And Jangs asked “I wonder why he looks just like me?”
Once the game was over 49-6,
He thought about another night of sucking dicks,
And he wondered again why his mom was so strict,
Screaming “Never trade sex for chicken on a stick!”
That Jangalang he sure is bitter,
But he was conceived in an Oxford shitter,
So learn from them every boy and girl,
Chicken on a stick can ruin your world.
I will work on a chord progression. Something bright and upbeat.

As a fan, I want to know:
1- When did they know.
2- If they knew, why reinstate him
3- GB is a great AD. If he knew about this and still went through with the hire, there is an issue with him.
4- GB is a great AD, but if he did not know this, he did a piss poor job. That should be the top priority of every AD when making a hire. "Any players ever in trouble with the law and what were the charges or allegations?"
With that said, we do not know:
- if this guy is guilty or not.
- under what circumstances he was reinstated. Was it due to it appeared he was cleared? etc. But admittedly, it does not appear that way.

Nah, things like this happen pretty regularly. It is often the case in these highly political scenarios surrounding the "believe all women" mantra that the police will investigate, find that there isn't enough evidence to pursue charges, and then some ridiculous DA will come back months later and decide to move forward because it's politically popular in the area where they're operating.

Absolutely. But there are cases where it's legit. And that pisses me off. Have that "if she says it, it's true" that causes the opposite reaction to where people are not willing to see it out.
A better way is to suspend the player and the player be allowed a recoup of his time by the NCAA. "Innocent, here is your year back".

you realize thats EXACTLY what you are doing by automatically discrediting the victim's statements & accusing the DA of pursuing this for political gain right?

quote:
Inlate November, [the victim] posted a message to her Instagram story accusing Rogers of raping her. On Nov. 28, she received a phone call from a number that police confirmed matched the number associated with Rogers’ Instagram account. When she answered, Rogers identified himself and began questioning why she had accused him of raping her. She told him she didn’t want to speak with him, hung up and blocked his number. She said she doesn’t know how he obtained her phone number, because she never gave it to him, and had only communicated with him via social media.
That same day, the victim said she reported the assault to UW’s Title IX office, which police confirmed via search warrant. A probable cause document states that the details included in the Title IX report are consistent with what the victim told police.
* * *
Rogers did not travel with the team for the Pac-12 championship game, played Dec. 1 in Las Vegas, but later played in both of Washington’s College Football Playoff games. The probable cause document states that a warrant revealed emails within UW’s athletic department confirming Rogers should be removed from the travel squad for the Pac-12 championship game, but with no reason given.
Still, the investigating officer wrote that the timing of the first victim’s Instagram post and Rogers’ absence from the Pac-12 title game “led me to believe there is a connection between his suspension and her disclosure of the assault,” especially in light of offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb telling a reporter in December that Rogers was working through “some challenges he’s had off the field.”
Rogers carried five times for 19 yards in Washington’s Sugar Bowl victory over Texas on Jan. 1. A week later, he carried once for two yards, and caught an 11-yard pass, in the Huskies’ loss to Michigan in the national championship game.
Former UW coach Kalen DeBoer, now at Alabama, did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

Do you mean like when I just reminded Tennessee fans they are paying restitution for a sexual assault case?
__________________________________________________________
We aren't paying anything. The case you're talking about was settled and paid in 2016. And the main instigator of the case was found to be lying when AJ Johnson was acquitted of rape. If you want to dredge up decade old crap, there's plenty on a certain team west of Birmingham. And this Washington thing was something your coach did this year.

3.67 carries per game, less than 200 yards for the season. Clearly he was pivotal to the team so they ignored rape allegations cause they needed him to get those crucial 6 carries and 21 yards against Texas and Michigan.
Or they were told by the athletic department in November they had to suspend him due to a title 9 claim, and then they were told he was cleared to play. Chances are they were not told the nature of the complaint. It's extremely common for information to be very limited while things are being investigated

maybe they reactivated him because the starting RB was banged up & questionable.. the accused rapist did play in ten games for Washington - even though he was suspended for the first two.
quote:
He played in 10 of UW’s 12 regular season games

What also stands out in the report is it talks about how in fall camp Rogers drew a suspension. They kept him out of the Boise State and the Tulsa games

I love to visit the Rant. Post after post of attention, esteem needing children who try so desperately to use sports as a means of enhancing their depleted egos by taking select athletic individuals they have no idea who they are or what their lives have been about and trashing other fans (as if that really means anything in their world). Again, there are select, educated individuals who share meaningful information on this site... and their are select individuals who have the social age of 5 who thrive on this junk. Unfortunately many will never grow up and will continue to parade this narcissistic behavior on others (and probably their family and kids as well). So fun to watch you guys battle out with your elementary school education wit in trying to one up each other with people you don't even know. I am sure you laugh yourself to sleep at night thinking "I really showed them". NOT
